3rd Thursday Projects (March)

Project #1 for our Club Workshop tonight will be this card that was inspired by Lynn in St. Louis' Blue Birthday card found here. I simplified it a bit to save some time. I used less layers and I don't have the Martha Stewart Border Punch, so I used some double scallop scissors called "Sunflower" by Fiskars and then did some paper piercing. I love the combination of Soft Sky with the Afternoon Tea DSP.
  • Stamps: True Friend
  • Papers: Whisper White, Soft Sky, Afternoon Tea DSP
  • Ink: Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip Marker, Signo White Gel Pen
  • Accessories: Blender Pen, Fiskars Sunflower Scissors, Dimensionals, WW GG Ribbon

Our Project #2 for the workshop will be this card that I originally made for an LSC challenge. I've shown this card to demonstrate what you can do with the Wild Wasabi Card Stock Special, and the ladies liked it, so I decided to make it a club workshop card! The Wasabi CS is textured, pre-cut, and pre-scored. I trimmed 1/4" off of the length and the width so that it will fit in an A-2 (Invitation) envelope. The DSP on the flap is Celery Prints. The flourish is from the "Doodle This" set. The insert is Naturals White so that it would be stiffer.

  • Stamps: Doodle This, Totally Tabs
  • Papers: Wild Wasabi CS Special, Naturals White, Wild Wasabi (regular), Certainly Celery Prints DSP
  • Ink: Whisper White Craft, Wild Wasabi, Celery Marker, White Gel Pen
  • Accessories: 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch, Round Tab Punch, Five Petal Punch, Boho Blossomes Punch, 1/8" Circle Punch, Wasabi DS Ribbon, Silver HPH Ribbon Slider
Project #3 is our non-card item which is an Altered Pop Top Can. This project was featured in the Weekly Inkling a few weeks ago, and one of my ladies has tried it. She feeds her dogs a can of green beans every day and has been opening the cans with a Safety Can Opener so that we could use them for this project. This can has a baggie full of jelly beans in it. The paper is "Darling Doodles" which was recently retired. There's a layered flower covering up the slit where I fitted the circle on the top of the can. This will be a fun project! Thanks for visiting my blog!!!
  • Stamps: 03-04 Tag Punch Box Yum Yum stamp, So Very
  • Papers: Darling Doodles DSP, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White
  • Ink: Purely Pomegranate
  • Accessories: Clean, empty pop top can, Large and Small Tag Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" Circle Punches, Boho Blossoms Punch, 3-4-U Punch, WW GG Ribbon, 1/8" Circle Punch

I really like all of these projects but the first one using the Afternoon Tea DSP is beautiful! I love how yo made the pretty scalloped border. I am definitely going to try that one!
