I haven't had time to do the bloggers' challenges lately, but I just HAD to participate in Sharon's (notimetostamp) challenge for this weekend. Her challenge was to use purses as a theme, and make a card that looks like a purse or has purses on it. I've seen these little Round Tab Punch purses around Splitcoaststampers (SCS) lately and really wanted to try it. The card measures 4" X 9" and fits in a standard #10 business envelope. The base card is Summer Sun. The white background panel is embossed with the new "Diamonds In The Rough" Cuttlebug folder and is matted on Basic Black. Each purse was punched with the Round Tab Punch. The Celery one has a flap punched with the Word Window Punch, a Celery brad, and green braiding cord for the handle. The black one was trimmed to change the shape, it has a triangle flap with a silver sequin and was edged with silver gel pen, and silver cord was used for the handle. The Ruby Red one has a flap punched with the Small Oval Punch, a flower brad, and Red Hemp Twine for the handle. Each purse was adhered to a Whisper White square and matted on its own color. Finally, black satin ribbon was added to the bottom. Now I'm off to do another challenge!
