Hello (DC039)

The Monday Demo Challenge (Demonstratable Cards) was to make a card using the "spotlighting" technique. I didn't do mine the way it was shown in the tutorial. I stamped the image only once with Stazon Black on Whisper White. I trimmed to within about 1/8" from the image. I used a 1" Square Punch to punch out a square from Perfect Plum. Then, I used a 1-1/4" Square punch over the hole to create a frame. I laid the frame over the image to determine where I was going to color. I colored that part of the image with markers. The white panel was adhered to a piece of vellum that was torn at the top and bottom. The frame was then adhered to the image. The vellum was adhered to Pale Plum which was distressed, and then the whole thing was adhered to the Perfect Plum base card. There's a row of paper piercing beneath the strip and Very Vanilla ribbon as added at the bottom with a silver Hodgepodge Hardware Ribbon Slider. The silver HPH will be available from the Occasions Mini Catalog March 1st through May 31st.
  • Stamps: A Little Bit of Happiness (Level 1 Hostess Set)
  • Papers: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Vellum, Whisper White
  • Ink: Stazon Black, Markers: Certainly Celery, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum
  • Accessories: Very Vanilla 1/4" GG Ribbon, Silver HPH Ribbon Slider

Cute card. I liked how you focused on only one part of the image.
