1st Thursday February Projects

Our 1st Thursday Club is having an all Valentine night this week! What is Valentine's Day without chocolate?!!! This little pouch is made of a 6" X 6" piece of card stock with DSP adhered to the front and flap. A ribbon was added before gluing the flap down. The "For A Friend" hostess set was used to make the sentiment panel which could be colored in. Also, fancy scissors were used on the edges. When completed, it holds a Hershey bar!

  • Stamps: For A Friend
  • Papers: Non-SU! CS, Rose Red Prints DSP, Whisper White
  • Ink: Rose Red
  • Accessories: Fancy scissors, ribbon, Corner Rounder Punch

The second project is kind of a "Guy" card. No ribbons or frills. The base card is Ruby Red, the main image and sentiment are stamped on Naturals White and they are matted on Blue Bayou. Western Sky DSP was used for the striped strip. The main image panel, sentiment, and one of the hearts are all popped up on dimensionals.

  • Stamps: Moose You
  • Papers: Ruby Red, Naturals White, Blue Bayou, Western Sky DSP
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red
  • Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Large and Small Oval Punches, Silver Brads, Dimensionals

The third project for this week's club will have the "Pocket Heart" on it from a recent Technique Lover's Challenge. The base card here is River Rock, but the ladies will get to choose from River Rock, Groovy Guava, Ruby Red, or Cameo Coral. The front of the card is embossed with the Cuttlebug Textiles embossing folder. The heart pocket on all the cards will be made from Ginger Blossom DSP. The sentiment is stamped in Ruby Red on Naturals Ivory. A rhinestone brad is used to close the pocket, and a foil wrapped chocolate heart is inserted in the pocket. This is an easy card to make but lots of fun!
