I can't say I didn't "make" any cards yesterday because I really did. One person could not come to the stamp camp at the last minute, but she wanted her cards, so I made her eight cards and two boxes. Another lady who is an experienced stamper couldn't come either, so I made her four cards and one box, but I gave her all the cut-out materials to make the others. That took all day. Now, I'm back to the challenges.
This card is for Our Daily Bread Designs' Shining the Light Challenge. My friend, Pat Smethers is now a permanent member of the Design Team, so they honored her by using one of her cards as a sketch challenge. Her beautiful card may be found here. I love Pat and admire her work so much that I just HAD to try to do this challenge! The camera kind of washed out the green and made the pale yellow look like peach, but you can get the idea. I used Naturals White for the base card, Barely Banana for the next layer and the die-cut mat and an unknown designer paper that I've had for at least 15 years. The leaves and vines are Pear Pizazz and were punched with the Martha Stewart Leaf Punch and die cut with the Scribbles Swirls Sizzlit. The verse is from ODBD Scripture Collection #3. The roses were a Dollar Store find that I forgot I had until packing and unpacking everything in my craft room for the installation of the new flooring. I sponged the roses with Barely Banana, and I sponged the leaves, too. The Crocheted Lace is from Stampin' Up! and the pearls came from Mike's. Thanks for stopping by!!
