Feminine/Masculine (TSC0212)
Our Twisted Sistahs Challenge this week was hosted by Marleygo. Lesley challenged us to make a card using black and white with just a bit of purple or lavender. We had to create our own background (embossing, stamping or other techniques) and it had to have a ribbon and bow. I called this "Feminine/Masculine" because I felt the bow makes it kind of feminine, but the image is kind of masculine. I stamped the main image from "Nature's Silhouettes" using Basic Black on Whisper White; then, I sponged with Perfect Plum and matted on Basic Black. I popped up the main image panel using the leftover foam backing after removing the die cut rubber stamps and peeling off the rubber. The background is Whisper White embossed with the Cuttlebug "Floral Screen" embossing folder. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart. The base card is Basic Black. I put the sentiment inside but stamped it on a scrap of white so you could see what it says, "To pay homage to BEAUTY is to admire NATURE, to admire nature is to WORSHIP GOD." Thanks again for stopping by!!
