Club Projects - April 2010

I should have had everything done yesterday for tonight's club, but my hip gave out on me and I just had to take a chill pill and lie down. I'm back at it today, though. I'm having to use my cane a little, but I'm much better. I decided to use the challenges for today to create the designs for tonight's projects. The first card is for the CCEE Stampers Challenge. We were challenged to use a silly/funny critter on our projects and maybe a humorous sentiment. My funny critter is the old guy! LOL! He just seems to fit so well with the humorous Ward Cleaver quote! Besides, I really wanted to make a guy card that could be used as a birthday card, and this fits the bill. It's a clean and simple design. I just used Real Red for the base card, added a piece of Real Red Prints DSP (retired), and stamped the image and sentiment on white using Night of Navy for the mats. The sentiment is popped up on recycled foam. The main image is water colored.
This second card is for the Ways To Use It Challenge which was to use an image of a child in our designs. We will be focusing on water coloring tonight, so the main image is also water colored. She is stamped with Black Stazon on Very Vanilla and matted on a square that was punched with the Scallop Trim Corner and Border Punches and is Old Olive. The strip of designer series paper is from the Tea Party DSP and it's also punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The base card is Almost Amethyst and the ribbon is Old Olive Satin. All products used on both cards are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
