One-Layer Card (C4C138)

Over at Crazy 4 Challenges, the challenge is to make a one-layer card. I made mine with heavy white card stock, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder and a diffuser. I sponged inside the oval and stamped the flowers from "Bordering on Romance". The sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" which has become my "Go To" set for sentiments lately. Everything except the card stock came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Feel Better (C4C134)

Over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog the challenge for this week is to do paper piecing. I stamped the injured rhino from the "Kidoodles" set on the cardboard that comes with DSP and then again on some retired Bashful Blue DSP. I had to stamp his snout one more time on white card stock to create the "bandage". I used 120# white card stock for the base card, Whisper White for the embossed layer, Bashful Blue DSP for the die cut Eyelet Square, and then the recycled card board. I added the little satin knot for a little embellishment. This is mostly from SU! Thanks for stopping by!!

Sending Love (C4C128)

The Crazy for Challenges challenge is to have some green on our cards. It doesn't have to have a St. Patrick's Day theme, it just has to have green on it. I made the quick clean and simple card today. There are several shades of green here. The base card is Bazzill Smoothies Crushed Pear, the next layer and mat are both Certainly Celery, and I used Whisper White for the main image panel and the embossed layer. The ribbon is kind of yellowish green. I colored the image with markers. I'll be sending a quick note to my daughter to let her know that I've been praying for her during her recent illness. Thanks for stopping by!!

Tunnel Card (CCEE1210, C4C127, TSC0309)

I wanted to do another card for the Twisted Sistahs Challenge to have something that moves on the card. Well, the whole inside portion of a tunnel card does move. This is also for the CCEE Stampers Challenge which is all about flowers and the Crazy 4 Challenges which is to be inspired by spring, using flowers, baby animals, etc.

This view shows the inside of the tunnel card. I didn't realize that the markers would bleed through the Whisper White card stock. I'll have to remember that the next time I do one of these. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Frankie (C4C110, CCEE1142)

First of all, my camera seems to have washed out the green face and hand, so you'll have to use your imagination on that. This is for two challenges. The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is to make a clean and simple card for fall, and the CCEE Stampers Challenge is to make a fall card, too. I chose to go with a Halloween theme. This took no time at all to make, too. I just scored a frame with my Simply Scored board, added the paper rick-rack, die cut Frank and stamped the sentiment from "Smarty Pants". I think it's a cute Halloween card to send to my grand kids. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Stripes (C4C102)

Over at Crazy 4 Challenges, the challenge is to make a masculine card in honor of Father's Day down under. I guess they celebrate Father's Day in the middle of winter down there. I stamped the zebra from "Zoo Review" on Whisper White and matted on Basic Black and Tangerine Tango. The base card is Naturals White and the designer paper is about 15 years old. I had bought it for scrap booking zoo photos. The Basic Black strip was embossed with Tim Holtz' Tree EF. This was a quickie card and is flat for easy mailing. I'm sending it to a friend who just had shoulder surgery. Hey, what's black and white and red all over? A sunburned zebra, of course! LOL! The stamp and card stocks are all from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Easter for Mom (C4C84, ODBDSLC58)

This is for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge to make an Easter card and for Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge which was a sketch. The rose and leaves are from Michael's, the ribbon is from Mark's Finest Papers, the Nestie and stamps (Daffodil Tag Set) are from Our Daily Bread Designs, and the card stocks (Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Very Vanilla), inks (Black Stazon and Melon Mambo), DSP (Springtime Vintage), Crocheted Lace, embossing folder (Perfect Polka Dots) and Dimenstionals are all from Stampin' Up!
This view shows the inside with the Easter sentiment. The little flowers were punched with the four petal flower from the Punch Pack, embossed and a White Gel Pen was used for the centers. This is the Easter card I'm giving to my mom tomorrow. She just turned 96 on Thursday. Thanks for stopping by!!

Evergreen (C4C82, ODBDSLC56)

The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is a color challenge. We are to use brown, green and vanilla. To me, those colors spell nature and masculine. The Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge is to make a card with no ribbons. You could use lace, hemp twine, cording or string, but no ribbon. I was going to use some hemp twine on this but felt it didn't need it. The quote and the silver embossed frame are from the ODBD "Eternity" set. The Spellbinders Nestie is from ODBD as well. The tree and pine cone are from Stampin' Up!'s "Lovely as a Tree" set. I also used SU!'s "Woodgrain" background stamp and the wood grain EF is from the Sizzix Tim Holtz collection. I used a Naturals Ivory base card and stamped and embossed the Soft Suede layer. The die cut piece is Very Vanilla sponged with Soft Suede ink. The tree and pine cone were stamped on Very Vanilla with Always Artichoke and touched up with the Soft Suede Marker. I did some fussy cutting on the tree. I used the MS Branch punch to punch the pine branches at the bottom. Thanks for stopping by!!

Beauty of the Lord (C4C79, ODBDSLC53)

The Crazy for Challenges challenge is a color challenge. We are to use Kraft, Pink, Brown and Turquoise. The base card is Kraft. The ink for the verse and mat behind the verse are Early Espresso. The ink for the tulips and sponging and the card stock for the hand made tulip are Pretty In Pink, and the Dollar Store butterfly sticker is mostly turquoise. The Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge for this week is called, "New Life." Our creations are to symbolize new life such as Easter, Flowers, etc. I used the "Tulip Corner" stamp and the verse is from the "Tulip Tag Set." The Nestie is from ODBD, too. The card stock, ink, Dazzling Diamonds, Owl Punch, Circle Punch, Pearls and Top Note Die are all from Stampin' Up! The tulip that I made is Valita's design. See the "Spring Tulip" post below for a link to her blog. Thanks for stopping by!!

Friends (C4C78)

This week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is to have a tree on our cards. I used "Forest Friends", and used the tree, owl and bunny. My card is 4.25" square. I kept it simple. The card stocks I used are Crumb Cake, Garden Green and Whisper White. I masked the owl and stamped the tree over it a little. Everything was stamped with Crumb Cake, and then I went over it with Crumb Cake and Garden Green Markers. I masked a cloud and sponged the background with Bashful Blue. The sentiment from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" was stamped with Black Stazon. Everything here is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Know (C4C75, ODBDSLC49)

This card is for two Saturday challenges. One of them is the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge which is to use dies to create a card or project. I used Circle and Lacey Circle Nesties for the main image panel, Simple Flower Embosslit for the large flowers, Beautiful Butterflies Embosslit for the butterfly and Little Leaves Sizzlit. The small flowers were punched with the Flower Trio Punch (retired) and embossed. The Very Vanilla panel is embossed with the Leafy Branch embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I sponged it a little, too. The other challenge is Our Daily Bread Designs Shining Light Challenge which is to stamp an image over a sentiment (or visa versa). You might have to click on the image to see the very light flowers stamped on the main image panel with the verse. The flowers were stamped with Pink Pirouette and the sentiment with Black Stazon. The butterfly, flowers and leaves were all sponged, and there are pearls in the flower centers and one for the butterfly's head. Everything except the Nesties and the embossing folder is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Evergreen (C4C70)

This card is for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge which is to incorporate a "Thank You" sentiment on your card. I took a lot of photos of this card trying to show how the flower soft (mostly on the left side of the tree) is mixed with a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds. I just couldn't get the right angle so you could see the sparkle. This goes to a wonderful couple who always make peanut brittle at Christmas time and they always give some to my son and me. I used Handsome Hunter (retired), Basic Black and Whisper White card stocks along with DCWV Photo Pack designer paper. The stamps are "Lovely as a Tree" and "Tiny Tags". Ink is Handsome Hunter (retired). I used white Flower Soft mixed with Dazzling Diamonds. Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the Flower Soft and the designer paper. Thanks for stopping by!!

Be Still (C4C69, QFTD42)

This is for two challenges. The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge was a color inspiration challenge. We are to create a card using the colors in the inspiration photo. I used the pinks for the flowers and butterfly and the brown for the base card, mat, pearls, and ink for the sentiment and sponging. The other challenge is the Queen for the Day Challenge on SCS. This week's queen is foxy67. Pat is a talented stamper. I've been in her gallery before to comment, but today was the first time I really got to spend time there. The card I chose to CASE was her "For QFTD20" card. I know this is a CASE of a CASE, but Pat did such a beautiful job that I couldn't pass this one by. I changed the colors, embossing folder, Nestie, flowers and stamp. The stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection #3. The flowers were punched with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and then embossed. Brown half pearls were added to the flower centers and to the butterfly. The butterfly was sponged with Chocolate Chip ink. The embossing folder is the new Framed Tulips Impressions Folder from Stampin' Up! The main image panel is die cut using a Labels Ten Nestie. The card stocks I used are: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Pretty In Pink, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink and Old Olive. Most of this was from my scrap basket. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Celebrate Eddie (C4C68)

This is for the weekly challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges which is to make a card to celebrate something. My son, Eddie, will be celebrating his 16th birthday this month, so I tried to make a really cheerful card using the "Create A Cupcake" set and coordinating Punch from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. I used the retired Bermuda Bay and Yoyo Yellow card stocks along with Whisper White. I used a Cuttlebug EF and Spellbinders Nesties. The Eyelet Circle Nesties were a Christmas gift from my daughter. I also used the Word Window Punch and Modern Label Punch for the sentiment. The ribbon is the retired Bermuda Bay ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!! Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Bright Birthday (C4C67)

I made this one for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge which was a sketch this week. I had to do the math for this one! I worked from the 5-3/8" square base card up to the main image panel. I had to keep measuring things along the way so that I had all six squares plus the horizontal panel and they all fit. I used So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Whisper White card stocks plus Pawsitively Prints Part 2 DSP. I used the Poppy Parade Ribbon, too. I used "Create a Cupcake" and "Word Play" stamp sets with Poppy Parade, Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron Inks. The cherries were colored with In-Color Markers and Crystal Effects was added for shine. I used the new Cupcake Punch for the cupcake and cherries. It coordinates with the "Create a Cupcake" stamp set and will be available from the new Occasions Mini on January 4, 2011. Everything is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Charlie Brown Tree (C4C65)

This is a CASE of patsmethers' card that she called "Lil Gems". Her little Charlie Brown tree came from a retired set. Mine came from the "Loads of Love" set. I changed the embossing folder and the ribbon and ribbon placement as well as the actual stamp. The two trees sure do look alike though! This is also for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge to use script. This is my second card for that challenge today! Thanks again for stopping by!!!

Snow! (C4C65)

The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge was to use script on a card; either embossed or designer paper. First of all, I got a 6" x 6" piece of this patterned paper from a friend. I also had this little penguin already made. I put the two together and created this card. It's going to my friend who gave me the DP; her hubby loves penguins, too! Thanks for stopping by!

CASEing Crystal (QFTD31, C4C59)

This is for two challenges: The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge to use fall colors and make a fall card or project and the Queen For The Day challenge honoring crystalkbk. Crystal does a lot of stitching on her cards. I don't; you can see why! LOL! Anyway, I chose to CASE her card from "A Fall Set" which she just made today. For the large leaves, I stamped leaves from "French Foliage", cut them out, sponged them and crinkled them before attaching them to the card. The pumpkin leaf is from "Autumn Harvest" and the sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes". I used different papers and I made the circle out of Pear Pizazz sponged with Old Olive instead of using white. I just love her card, and I think mine turned out OK in spite of my awful stitching. Everything here is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Fall! (C4C57)

I'm back! We got back yesterday evening, but I was too tired to do much of anything. A group of ladies from my church went to the Joyce Meyer Conference which was Thursday night, two sessions on Friday and one session on Saturday morning. It was great!

I can't get into the galleries on SCS because the site is shut down for maintenance, so I couldn't do the Featured Stamper Challenge....YET! This is for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge which is a color challenge. We are to use Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Kraft (Crumb Cake) and Black. Perfect colors for fall! I did use a non-SU! stamp and a Martha Stewart Leaf Punch, but everything else is from Stampin' Up! I used the Small and Large Oval Punches for the pumpkins and the Swirls Sizzlit for the vines. Thanks for stopping by!!

Santa! (C4C51)

This week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is this great sketch with strips of patterned paper in various sizes. Of course, you could put various sizes of ribbons or other trim in place of the DP. I used the new Candy Cane Christmas DSP from Stampin' Up! One side of this particular sheet has the little squirrels with gifts and holly while the other side is Baja Breeze with Real Red glittered dots. I used Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Real Red card stock. I die cut the oval with my Big Shot and Labels Ten Nestabilities. The Santa was die cut using Santa #3 Sizzlit. I also used the Word Window Punch and Modern Label Punch for the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes". Everything except for the die cuts is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
