Masculine Thanks (LNS174)

Stampin' Up! Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group has had a challenge this past week to do masculine cards. I'm making three today for the men who cooked at our church Mother's Day Breakfast which we had here. They not only cooked, but they sure did a great job of cleaning up afterward! I think they left my kitchen cleaner than it was to begin with! LOL! I used Not Quite Navy along with Well Worn DSP to create this one. The stamp is a single stamp, "Sail Away". I won't be getting rid of this one any time soon!! Everything is from Stampin' Up!
Above is a photo of the three men doing their magic in the kitchen. They are Bill, Ike and Steve. Wonderful Guys!! Thanks for stopping by!!

LNS Sketch (LNS168)

My Late Night Stampers Yahoo group had a sketch challenge this week. I thought I'd try it. I used Daffodil Delight Textured Card Stock for the base card, Daffodil Delight DSP, Whisper White, and Wild Wasabi. I used Wild Wasabi Ink as well. The stamp sets are "Fresh Vintage" (SAB) and Swirls & Curves Verses (retired hostess). I used the Postage Punch and the Eyelet Border Punch. The "stamps" are popped up on Dimensionals. Thanks for stopping by!!

Birthday Inspiration (CAS163, LNS166)

The Clean and Simple Challenge was to be inspired by a Family Circle Magazine cover. I was inspired by the colors of the cupcakes. The Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group's challenge was to use two different embossing folders. I used Stripes and Snow Burst. The ribbon is from a Ribbon/Button Bundle that is retired. I used the two smaller flowers on the Boho Blossoms Punch for each flower and one of the Antique Brads in the center. Thanks for stopping by!

Angela's Sketch (CAS162, LNS165)

The Clean and Simple Challenge is to follow a sketch by Arizona Maine. Angela's sketch is shown here. I could make a bunch of these cards for a gift set! I love it. Our Late Night Stampers challenge is an inspiration challenge. There was a picture of a child's room done in all black and white except for the walls which were a shade of turquoise. I went with just the black and white. I think this would make a nice wedding card if I added rhinestones in the flower centers and changed the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by!!

Dasher Gift Card Holder (LNS149)

This week's challenge for our Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group is to make a gift card holder. I made a regular A2 card using Bravo Burgundy for the base and mat and Whisper White for the embossed background and main image panel. I used an SU! Border Punch for one side of the mat. I inked up the "Dasher" stamp with Versamark and then with Bravo Burgundy and stamped it on the Whisper White panel. I embossed it with Clear EP. I added the Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon and would have added Basic Jewels Rhinestones had this been for a female, but it's going to my grandson who is a teenager.
I had this DCWV dp in my stash, and it matches the Bravo Burgundy very well (IRL). I used that to create the actual holder for the gift card. Everything except for the dp came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Non-Traditional Christmas (CAS145, LNS148)

The Clean and Simple challenge is a Christmas/Winter theme. The Late Night Stampers (Yahoo Group) challenge is Non-Traditional colors on a Christmas card. I used the Designer Frames Impressions Folder on Whisper White to create the frame. I matted the white panel on Basic Black and the base card is Pool Party. I used "Pennant Parade" for the tree using Pool Party ink and punched it out with the Pennant Punch. It's popped up with a Dimensional over the little pot that was stamped with Black Stazon. The sentiment, also from "Pennant Parade", was stamped with Pool Party ink and punched out with the Tiny Tags Punch. I used a Basic Jewels Rhinestone on the end of the tag for a tree topper. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Three Daisies (LNS129, MMTPT154, SC341)

Above is the inspiration picture for this week's SU! Late Night Stamper's Challenge. I was inspired by the colors in the carpet, wallpaper, the white seat back, lamp, table and chair, and the yellow bowl.
This is also for this week's tea party. We were supposed to bring three daisies to the party. I think this card is going to a lady who is battling breast cancer. I used this week's sketch as well. I almost made this for this week's TSC, but I forgot the border punched piece, so it's back to the drawing board for that one. Everything used here except the Nestie is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy 4th (LNS127, MMTPT152, SC339, TSC0701, WT329)

OK, so I've been busy lately and haven't had much time for card making. I made this card for FIVE challenges, count 'em, FIVE! LOL!! The Yahoo group that I'm in has a challenge this week to used Red, White and Blue in honor of the 4th coming up. The Teapot Tuesday Challenge has to have a number on it due to the fact that the teapotters need to learn how to count. This card will go to whichever teapotter that Mothermark assigns to me, but I hope it's someone in the U.S.A., otherwise, it makes no sense. Even if the card gets there after the 4th, the person who receives it could save it and send it next year to someone else! I used this week's Sketch Challenge sketch, changing sizes of panels as needed to fit my image. The Twisted Sistahs Challenge was presented by patsmethers, and she asked us to make a card representing Americana and using Red, White, and Blue (no pink). Well, 4th of July barbecues are very representative of Americana as far as I'm concerned. By the way, that's not a man doing the barbecuing here, it's an old blond lady (like me). As Martha Stewart says, "It's a good thing." Finally, the Ways To Use It Challenge is to use something old and something new. The "King of the Grill" stamp set is from the 2010 Summer Mini, so it's about a year old. The DSP is from this year's Summer Mini, so it's new. That covers all of them! Everything except the Stars EF came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Andrew's Birthday (WT328, LNS126)

The Ways To Use It Challenge is to use no white. I hope they don't consider Very Vanilla as white because that's what I used to stamp the letters in my grandson's name. This is his birthday card. The birthday sentiment is inside. This is also for the Late Night Stampers challenge, "Animal Antics", to use an animal on our cards. I love that bear from "Under the Stars!" The base card is So Saffron with a layer of "Just Add Cake" DSP (available July 1st). The bear was stamped on Crumb Cake with Early Espresso and sponged with the same ink. I also stamped the snout and belly on Naturals Ivory, cut them out, sponged them and popped up the snout. The bear is popped up on Bashful Blue with a scalloped piece of Old Olive DSP at the bottom; then, it's all matted on Calypso Coral (one of the new In-Colors). The letters were stamped with Lucky Limeade on Very Vanilla. Everything here is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Flip Flops (TSC0617, LNS125)

The Yahoo Group I'm in has a challenge this week called "Water, Water Everywhere." My son is going to visit his sister in Washington, and they're going to an indoor water park. We just had to buy him a new swim suit and some flip flops, so flip flops represent water to me! Our Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week is to make a Joy Fold Card using bright colors. The base card here is Pacific Point, and I used the brightly colored DSP from this year's Sale-A-Bration. The smaller portion of the card is Daffodil Delight with Melon Mambo, and the main image is stamped on Very Vanilla. The image is from "Sunny Fun" and is colored with SU! Markers. Tiny yellow and amber rhinestones were added to the flip fops for brighten them up. I used a foam flip flop I pulled off of a card that I received years ago and kept in my stash for the closure. Everything used to make this card came from Stampin' Up! except the tiny rhinestones and the foam flip flop. Thanks for stopping by!!

Scrap Booking At Last (LNS122)

I haven't done any scrap booking in a while, but I have lots of photos, mementos and post cards to scrap from last summer's Disney World vacation. I found a Simply Scrapping Kit in my stash that's retired, but it sure works for the Epcot Center pages! It's called, "He's Too Cool". It has these "modern" symbols and objects. It makes the task of scrapping more fun and much faster! Everything used to make this page is from Stampin' Up! Thanks again for stopping by!!!

Birthday Giraffe (CAS112, LNS114)

The Clean and Simple Challenge is to "Cut Up Sentiments" and my Yahoo Group's Challenge is to use an animal. I used the giraffe from "Animal Stories" and stamped with Daffodil Delight on Naturals Ivory. I used the Early Espresso Marker to make the dots on the giraffe and the same color ink to stamp the sentiment from "So Happy for You" (SAB). After stamping the sentiment, I cut it apart and then popped both words up on Dimensionals. The bottom of the Early Espresso mat is punched with the Scallop Border Punch and the base card is Daffodil Delight. This will go to my grandson (one of five) in Virginia for his 3rd birthday. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

You're a Blast! (LNS108, SC320)

My Yahoo Group, Stampin' Up! Late Night Stampers has a challenge for this week which is to make a masculine card for a man or a boy. I used this week's sketch to create this little birthday card for my grandson. I used Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White card stocks along with Ice Parlor DSP. I used coordinating markers to color the rocket. I used the Small Star Punch for the added embellishments. Everything here is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Lots of Hearts! (LNS107)

I bought a couple of $1 bags, I already had tissue paper, I bought $2 candies, and I needed tags or gift cards. I made these 3x 3 gift cards out of Whisper White with the Filled With Love Bundle DSP. I also used the Scallop Heart Embosslit and Full Heart Punch. The little hearts are the small hearts from the Heart to Heart Punch. I used a retired stamp set, "A Happy Heart." I just punched the cards on the inside with the 1/16" Punch and ran some Silver Cord through to tie them onto the rope handles of the bags. It's a great last minute gift for my mom and my son.
A Yahoo Group that I'm in has a weekly challenge. This week's challenge was called "Hearts Abound" and we were to use hearts on our projects. I tried to make it look like hearts were flying out of the little die-cut envelope. The scallop circle stamp is from "Love You Much". I thought that set was retired because I couldn't find it. I just thought it was in one of the boxes of retired stamps. Well, when I was putting my stamp sets back into the book case after the new floor covering was installed, I found it!
This view shows the inside of the card. Another stamp from "Love You Much" was used. This was a fun project and pretty quick, too. Everything used to make these cards is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Flitting By (CAS71)

Look at this!! Posting two days in a row!! That's really something for me lately! LOL!

The Clean and Simple Challenge had a theme of "Things That Fly" and my Yahoo Group, Stampin Up Late Night Stampers, had a challenge to use our wheels. This worked out well for me! This card took less than 10 minutes and uses two new In-Colors, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizazz. I used the "Flitting By" Jumbo Wheel with Pretty In Pink Jumbo Ink Cartridge. The ribbon is Pretty In Pink Taffeta and the sentiment, stamped in Basic Black, is from the "Water Color Trio" set (Summer Mini). I also used the Scallop Border Punch on the Whisper White strips. Everything used to make this card came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

A Thought Away (SULNS#57)

This is my second upload for today. I might not have time tomorrow to make a card. I have a ton of personal paperwork to do! I just had to make a card with my 2010 Sale-A-Bration goodies. The stamp set, "Good Neighbors", makes those cute little houses. The Designer Series Paper, "Welcome Neighbor", makes such a cute background. "Whimsical Words" is a set of sentiments that works out well with many types of cards. I embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder for the Late Night Stampers Challenge (to emboss). The base card is Tempting Turquoise. This is a very simple card to make! All products are from Stampin' Up! Thanks again for stopping by!!

Cool Dude (CAS40, SULNS45)

The SU! Late Night Stampers Challenge for this week has to do with the Holiday Extravaganza promoted by Stampin' Up! This month's Thursday Niters Club will be making a bag, a tag and a card. It's all done with one stamp set. I added silver half pearls for the snowman's buttons and larger ones in the middle of the snowflakes on the bag. The tiny ones are also on the tag.
This week's Clean & Simple Challenge was a color challenge which was to use white and only one other color. Mine is white and Bashful Blue. All products used to make these items, except the pearls, are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

  • Papers: Naturals White, Bashful Blue, Whisper White

Masculine CAS (CAS39, SULNS44)

The Clean and Simple Challenge was a sketch challenge based on this card. The Stampin' Up! Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group's challenge for this week was to make a masculine card. I combined both challenges and came up with this card. For some reason, when I make a manly card, I have to do sponging; it just has to be dirty looking! LOL! All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Wanted
  • Papers: Close To Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, To the Nines Specialty DSP
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip, Basic Black
