Mojo with Da Man (Mojo242)

I haven't done a Mojo Monday Sketch in a long time. I decided to do this week's sketch using what we lovingly call "Da Man". This guy from the Wild Wild West set is so popular! I stamped him on some retired DSP with Black Stazon. The base card is Basic Black with a layer of Sahara Sand that has been embossed with the Stripes Impressions Folder. The horizontal strip was made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch and I added a Vintage Brad. There's also some branches that I thought looked kind of like sage brush. Those were punched with a Martha Steward Punch. Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the MS Punch. Thanks for stopping by!!

Precious and Few (Mojo221)

I didn't like the card I did for the Clean & Simple Challenge, so I'm not posting it here. I haven't done a Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge in ages, so I tried that one and like this card better. For this sketch, we were to do a round or a square card. I went with 4.25" square. I even sewed on this one! I guess you can see why I don't usually do that! LOL! The sentiment is from Inkadinkado Expressions. Everything else is from Stampin' Up! The base card is So Saffron and I used some old SAB DSP as well as Pawsitively Prints DSP. These were in my scraps. I used the retired stripe ribbon and a Paper Daisy with an SU! button. I also used Naturals White card stock for one layer plus the main image panel. There's some DSP inside for embellishment and the other DSP is on the envelope that I made into a square envelope for this card. Thanks for stopping by!!

Sun (Mojo180)

This is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I'm finding that I am lucky to find the time to make one card per day, and sometimes I can't even do that. I usually do the Clean & Simple Challenge on Monday or the Technique Lovers Challenge. I haven't done a Mojo Monday Sketch in a long time, so I picked that one for today. For this one, I used products from lots of manufacturers. The Summer Sun, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White card stocks are from Stampin' Up!, and so is the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and the Tea Party DSP. The border punch is from Martha Stewart. The Ribbon is from Mark's Finest Papers. I used Square, Eyelet Square, Rectangle, Scallop Rectangle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities from Spellbinder. The "24 - 7" Stamp is from SU!'s "Friends 24-7" set and the main image/verse is "Psalm 84:11" from Verve. It's kind of an eclectic card! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Thanks a Million (Mojo170)

This is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This color combo is not my norm, but I have this whole tablet of DP that my kids gave me several years ago, and I thought I might start making use of it. At the time, this whole tablet of 200 sheets was only $9.88 (they left the price tag on it)! They got it at WalMart. I used Lavender Lace and Whisper White textured card stock to match the DP. I made the flower from used tissue (that's the best kind for this) using the Scallop Circle Punch. I used Nesties to cut out the circles and ovals. Oh, and that flower is not blue; if you look closely in the upper right portion of the flower, you will see that it's actually purple! Cameras!! Sheesh! Thanks for stopping by!!

Teapotter Mojo (MMTPT123, Mojo168)

This is for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge and for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge which I have not done in quite a while. I guess I've just been too busy with everything else. I love the sketch, and it works perfectly with my stamps from Recollections - North Pole. I used Stampin' Up! card stock, DSP, ribbon, markers and Dimensionals. Santa was colored with markers as was the tree. I added Liquid Applique to his fur. I cut him out and popped him up and did the same with the sentiment. I added rhinestones to the sentiment panel.
This is the inside of the card with a greeting and the Christmas stocking that was also colored with SU! Markers. This was a fun card to make, and I hope the family who is getting it enjoys it. Thanks for stopping by!!

Brocade & Saffron Mojo (Mojo127)

This is my card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. We had the option of making a square card or a round one. Obviously, I chose square. This one is a little 4-1/4" square card. The base card is So Saffron. The paper is both sides of a piece of Porcelain Prints (retired) Designer Series Paper. The main image is from "Of the Earth" (hostess set) and was stamped on Whisper White with Brocade Blue ink. That panel was matted on So Saffron and Brocade Blue. I used both gingham ribbon and narrow satin ribbon. The sentiment is from Short & Sweet and the blue half pearls came from Michael's. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Tess to the Rescue! (MMTPT76)

This is a triple challenge combo card. First, it's for the Mojo Monday Challenge, Sketch #121. Second, it's for the Color Challenge on SCS which was to use Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip and Rich Razzleberry. Finally, it's for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. Our task is to find out who the Bad Apple is who has been knocking Annie Appleseed out of the trees while she's trying to pick 42,000 apples an hour! Tess is here, not to PICK apples but, to BAKE apple pies. She likes to use Granny Smith apples for her pies, and she's hoping to lure that bad apple guy out of the orchards and into the dining room!! Tess's blouse and pants were paper pieced. Everything here, except the apple barrel stamp, is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings (CC249, Mojo117)

This is a challenge combo. I used yesterday's Mojo Monday Sketch and today's Color Challenge to use So Saffron, Mellow Moss, and Melon Mambo. This might seem a bit non-traditional for a holiday card, but I actually like these colors together. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then with Melon Mambo and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I used markers to color the poinsettia stamp. The Mellow Moss layer is embossed with Holly Ribbons embossing folder. I get extra points in the color challenge for using dots! Everything used here is from Stampin' Up! except for the embossing folder, Nestabilities and pearls. Thanks for stopping by!!

Valentine Mojo (Mojo116)

This is for today's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #116. I just got my pre-order from Stampin' Up!, so I got a chance to use two new punches: Pinked Heart Border Punch and Small Heart Punch. I like the new style of punches! They will be available from the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog on January 5th. The background paper is part of a paper bag that came from a craft store in Grass Valley, CA. Thanks for visiting my blog today!!

Western Mojo (Mojo111)

I guess I'm in a Western mood today! I did the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge with this Wild Wild West image that was sent to me by my good friend and Twisted Sistah, Pat Smethers. I wish I had that set, but it's been retired for some time now. The image was water colored and the mat was distressed. All products used to make this card were from Stampin' Up! Thanks again for stopping by today!!!

Happy Thanksgiving (Mojo110, StampinB#30)

This week's challenge over at the Stampin' B's Design Team site was to make a Thanksgiving/Autumn card. I used last Monday's sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog. My main image panel is a bit too far to the left to show much of the gold panel, but I had an "oops" that I needed to cover up! LOL! Everything used here is from Stampin' Up! except for the Nestabilities. Thanks for stopping by!

Food Fight! (TSC1002, Mojo107)

The Twisted Sistahs' Challenge for last Friday was called "Food Fight." We had to have food on our cards. Well, Rocky Raccoon here brought BEANS to the food fight. He says it's OK cuz he washed them! LOL! I used today's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge for the layout. I like this color combo of Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow and Whisper White. The patterned paper is the retired Autumn Vines. Everything here is from Stampin' Up! except for the Nestabilities and the small leaf punch. Thanks for stopping by!!

Limited Mojo (LSC231, Mojo98)

Friday's Limited Supplies Challenge was to use die cuts as a focal point. You could only use one stamp for a sentiment OR for making a background. I didn't get a chance to participate in the challenge on Friday, but I thought today's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge would work to combine the two challenges. First of all, the circle (white, orange and gold) is my die cut. It's a punch out from a Media Pack I got on sale at WalMart for scrap booking. I added the flower and brad for more interest. The designer paper is from the same pack. Thanks for stopping by!!!
  • Stamps: Short & Sweet
  • Papers: More Mustard, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Media Pack DP
  • Ink: More Mustard
  • Accessories: Media Pack Punch Out, Flower, Rhinestone Brad, Word Window Punch, Crushed Curry Ribbon

Mojo Monday Card (Mojo96)

I missed last week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge somehow. This week's layout was for a square card, and I actually made a square card! I guess I'm not so contrary this week! LOL! This card is a big 5-3/8" square. It will fit into Stampin' Up!'s medium square envelope. The base and the scallop mat are Bashful Blue. There's a layer of designer paper that is hard to see because it's striped. I used the other side of the same paper for the vertical strips. The circle is cut from the card stock that comes in the designer paper packages. I used a lot of scraps on this card. The designer paper and the ribbon are both 2009 Sale-A-Bration items. The little flowers are embossed and sponged with a tiny greenish rhinestone in the centers. Everything used on this card is from Stampin' Up! except the Nestabilities and rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by again!!

Pretty Pheasant (Mojo94)

This is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. The stamp sets I used for this are new. The base card is Pumpkin Pie with a layer of Pumpkin Pie Patterns Designer Series Paper matted on Chocolate Chip and sponged with Chocolate Chip Ink. The first horizontal strip is a scrap of My Mind's Eye designer paper that's also matted on Chocolate Chip. The next layer is a scrap piece of DCWV Mat Stack card stock which is also matted on Chocolate Chip. The main image panel is card stock from a designer paper package which is also matted and sponged. The image was stamped with Timber Brown Stazon which SU! no longer carries. I used a two-way glue pen to add the Fine Cosmo Glitter in green and purple. The medallion was made using three circle punches. I distressed the designer paper layer. The sentiment panel was made by stamping, punching with the Word Window Punch, adhering to a 1/2" strip of Chocolate Chip, and trimming around the ends. I stacked Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Ribbon atop of Chocolate Chip 5/8" Ribbon. Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the scraps of My Mind's Eye designer paper and DCWV Mat Stack card stock. Thanks again for stopping by!

Asian Artistry (Mojo93)

I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch to try out some new In-Color card stock and ink. The base card and matting is Bermuda Bay, the yellow layer is Crushed Curry, and the white layers are Whisper White except for the main image panel which is the white card stock from the designer paper packages. The main image is stamped with Basic Black ink and it's from a new Level 2 Hostess set. I love the new polka dot ribbons!! Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the Nestabilities and the Faux Eyelets. Thanks for visiting my blog today!!

Behold God in Everything (Mojo90)

I can't believe it! I missed last week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Well, I got right on it today! The link will take you to today's sketch, not the one I missed. This started out with a Naturals White base card. There's a layer of Pretty In Pink with a layer of Pink Pirouette Patterns Designer Paper on that. The tilted square is more of the same designer paper matted on Pretty In Pink. The main image panel is Whisper White on Pretty In Pink. The sentiment is stamped with Basic Gray. I think I must be known for my little embossed flowers by now! The medallion at the top is Pretty in Pink with the designer paper in the middle. Finally, I used one of the foil 3-D butterflies I found at the Dollar Store, 7 in a package! Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Mojo Thank You (Mojo88)

This card is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I did check out the Clean and Simple Challenge on SCS, but it was to take one of your old cards and redo it. Well, most of my older cards just deserve to be deleted! That made me a bit depressed, so I went back to the sketches! LOL! The base card here is Certainly Celery with a layer of Basic Black. The plain designer paper on the top (Yes, that's DP!) and the flowered paper on the bottom are from My Mind's Eye (Wild Asparagus, I think). The striped paper is SU!'s Porcelain Prints (retired). I punched the black circle mat with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and cut the Whisper White circle with Circle Scissors. I used eyelets instead of brads for embellishments and Basic Black grosgrain ribbon finishes it off. Thanks for stopping by!!!
