Wonderful Mother (SC274)

This is for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. I used up a lot of scraps of Designer Series Paper.

I also used more of my "signature" embossed flowers to make this springy Mother's Day card. As you can see in the photo, I also lined the envelope with the plaid paper. Everything used to make this card came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Easter Dog (MMTPT87, TLC266)

This is for two challenges again. First is Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. It seems Brutus, the dog, wants to be the Easter Bunny! This reminds me of my friend's dog. She dresses him up in sweaters and such. I wonder if she has rabbit ears small enough. LOL!

The second challenge is yesterday's Technique Lovers Challenge which was to decorate the insides of the cards as well. I also lined the envelope again. See those doggie footprints? They lead right up to the empty basket and beyond. Mickey likes eggs!! LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Picnic Parade, D is for Dog, $1 Stamp from Mike's
  • Papers: Close To Cocoa, Ruby Red, Whisper White, Real Red, Loves Me DSP (retired)
  • Ink: Close To Cocoa, Ruby Red, SU! Markers

Miracle (CAS60, TLC266)

The Clean & Simple Challenge was to follow the sketch on a card done by Carly (PaperInBloom). Instead of stamping on the squares, I just used punches and punched out squares of Designer Series Paper and Card Stock. The "buckle" was die cut with a Sizzix die and the flower was made with the Birds n' Blooms Sizzlit from Stampin' Up! I added a pearl in the center from the "Pretties Kit." The border punch is from Martha Stuart.

The Technique Lovers Challenge was to decorate the inside of the card just about as much as we decorate the outside. I used the same punch for the border as for the outside and added a couple of my "signature" embossed flowers. I also lined the envelope with DSP. Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the buckle die and border punch. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Peace Within
  • Papers: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Apricot Appeal, SU! DSP
  • Ink: Basic Gray, White Gel Pen (inside)

CASEing Brandi (FS164)

Brandi is our Featured Stamper today. Her screen name is Beedubya which I think is so cute! I drive a Beedubya Jetta!! I chose to CASE this card. I changed the theme, tweaked the layout a bit, used different embellishments, different stamp set, different colors and different Designer Series Paper. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Pun Fun
  • Papers: Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Real Red, Whisper White, Summer Picnic DSP (retired)
  • Ink: Pumpkin Pie (sponging), Black Stazon, Pumpkin Pie Marker, Black Journaling Pen

CASEing the Baby Nut (TSC0326)

Our Twisted Sistahs Challenge this week was to CASE JamiePTS. Jamie is PatSmethers' daughter-in-law. Pat sent me the image of the cowboy some time ago. I only use them for special occasions. Jamie has been staying with Pat and is now leaving to go join her husband in Wyoming. Pat will be sad. Anyway, I chose to CASE this card. I had the image from Pat, and I have the "Wanted" set, so the stamps are the same. I also had the same Cuttlebug embossing folder (Paisley). I used Basic Black for the base card and matted the image on Sahara Sand and Basic Black. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, but everything else is from Stampin' Up! except for the embossing folder. Thanks for stopping by!!

Oklahoma! (F4A5)

The Limited Supplies Challenge has been replaced with the Free 4 All Challenge. This week, it's hosted by Wendybell. She challenged us to make a card inspired by a musical, and the card had to be something other than the standard A2 size. This one is 4-1/4" square. The period in which the musical Oklahoma was set reminds me of barn raisings, out houses and quilting bees. Thanks for visiting my blog today!!
  • Stamps: Sparkle n' Sprinkle - Country
  • Papers: Close To Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Pawsitively Prints DSP
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip and SU! Markers
  • Accessories: Snips, Sewing Machine

Flowers from a friend...

One of my friends from church called me the other day to see how I was after my illness. She said she was out shopping and asked if there was anything I needed. I told her that I would like some chicken and pork from CostCo if she was going there. She called me from CostCo because she couldn't find the seasoned chicken that I wanted, but she said she'd just get me the regular kind with two boneless breasts in each of six packages. Well, she showed up with the meat from CostCo AND these beautiful tulips!!!

I said, "What is this???" She told me the flowers were for me because I've been sick! She even had my son get a vase down from the top of my cabinets, washed it, filled it with water and arranged the tulips. Aren't they beautiful?!!! Not only that, but she wouldn't accept my money to pay for the meat!!! She said that it was a gift. I'm just so blessed! I have some wonderful friends, especially those in my church family! I just had to share this!!!

March 2010 Stamp Camp Projects

For this month's stamp camp, we will be focusing on Designer Series Papers. They add so much to any project, making cards and 3-D items even easier to make.

The first project is such a simple card, you'd think it wasn't me who designed it! We will be making this one in two colors of the Sweat Pea Designer Series Paper (DSP), one in teal (as shown) and the other in olive. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder from an Oriental Bundle to emboss the DSP, then, after adhering to the card, I sanded it to bring out the embossed images. The stamping is on the inside. I used the Asian Artistry Hostess Set. The participants will choose which stamps from that set they want to use, and Taken With Teal and Old Olive inks will be available.

The second project could be an Easter card or just a "Hello" type card with the Waving Bunny from Whipper Snapper. I know. This isn't a Stampin' Up! image, but I promised to use it at this stamp camp. The base card is Certainly Celery with a strip of last year's SAB paper. I punched a border from So Saffron to put under the DSP strip. The bunny is stamped on white and matted on Bashful Blue. It's water colored using Water Color Wonder Crayons and an Aqua Painter. I highlighted the buttons with a Marker. Of course, I had to add my "signature" embossed flowers with leaves punched with the new Bird & Branch Punch.

The third project is very similar to the card I made for last week's Color Challenge on SCS. I simplified it a bit for the Stamp Camp, though. I used Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Ribbon Bundle (retired) and adhered it to the Old Olive DSP before adhering the DSP to the Rich Razzleberry base card. The image from "Very Thankful" (available as an SAB Freebie) and stamped it on Very Vanilla with Razzleberry ink. I matted on Olive Olive and an extra long mat of Rich Razzleberry to allow for the rhinestones. I used an Old Olive Marker on the tail designs before adding Purple Fine Cosmo Glitter.

The fourth project is a punch art project. First of all, I used three shades of white on this card. The base card is Naturals White. The next layer is GP White and is embossed with SU!'s Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. The main image panel is Whisper White and is embossed with the Small Dots Texturz Plate from the Backgrounds #1 set of plates. That panel is matted on Pretty In Pink. Now to the punch art. The "vase" was punched out of "Loves Me" DSP using the Ornament Punch and cutting it off so the bottom is flat. The tulips were formed with three wings from the Bird & Branch Punch. The leaves and stems were created by simply trimming a very narrow piece from Garden Green card stock. I really like this one.

Our final project will be this little milk carton filled with jelly beans. We will make one Bashful Blue and one Barely Banana. The DSP is, again, the SAB paper from last year. I punched 1" circles from Whisper White to add to the front of the carton. I stamped the bunny from "Picnic Parade" which is a hostess set from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I talked my friend, Patti, into getting it, but she gave it to ME!! The bunny is colored with SU! Markers before cutting it out and adding it to the punched circle. I added a Mini Clip to the top to finish it off. I have some Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans to fill them with. I think everyone will love these and they are just in time for an extra Easter gift. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Another Combo (WT263, CCEE1012)

These are two challenges that I have been putting together often: First, the Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS was to make a birthday card because that challenge is FIVE years old! Secondly, the CCEE Stampers Challenge was another food inspiration challenge with different color macaroons that were stacked. I took my inspiration from the colors as well as the stacking. The inside sentiment says, "Hope your day is the sweetest ever!" I also stamped the balloon from the stamp set on the side. This will be for one of my grandchildren who turns two on April 9th. Everything used here is from Stampin' Up! except for the Ice Cream Sizzlit and the Oval Nesties. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
  • Papers: Only Orange, Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Pawsitively Prints DSP
  • Ink: Only Orange
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots IF, Oval and Scallop Oval Nesties, Ice Cream Sizzlit, Dimensionals

I'm Back! (SC273, CC263)

First, I want to thank everyone who commented and wished me well during my illness. I'm still a bit week, but I'm definitely on the mend. I still have to take antibiotics three times a day, but I think it's finally starting to work. So, I'm back! This is my first card since last week. It's a combo of the Color Challenge from yesterday and the Sketch Challenge from today. I'm not sure if I got the sketch exactly right, but I got all those layers on there. The Color Challenge was to use Creamy Caramel, Pretty in Pink and Dusty Durango with white, ivory or black for the neutral. The "dessert" was supposed to be to use leaves in our designs. That's never been hard for me!! Thanks for stopping by, and again, thanks for your prayers and well wishes!! Everything here is from Stampin' Up! except for the embossing folder and gold pearls.
  • Stamps: Vintage Labels (2010 SAB)
  • Papers: Dusty Durango, Creamy Caramel, Pretty In Pink, Very Vanilla
  • Ink: Dusty Durango
  • Accessories: Big Shot, CB Oriental Weave EF, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Bird & Branch Punch, Flower Trio Punch, Mat Pack, Embossing Stylus, Tiny Gold Half Pearls, Dimensionals

Been sick...

Well, my friends, I've be so sick that I haven't made ANY cards since Thursday. I was in the E.R. all day on Friday. They did an E.K.G. and C.T. Scan. I have Diverticulitis. Wow, is it ever painful. It seems that almost everyone gets it in some form by the time they are around 60. I really have to tell you: EAT YOUR FIBER!!! I try to have a high fiber diet, but I just can't seem to resist those French Fries from Micky D's!! I will go easy on those now! I have to lay off of seeds and nuts for a while, I guess. I'm on antibiotics, and I have pain medicine, so I just have to take it easy right now. I've been watching "Happily Ever After" movies on the Hallmark Channel. I've been crocheting too. I have two daughters who are pregnant at the same time. When I get this one done, maybe I'll take a photo of it and post it here so you can see it. I already gave the younger daughter hers. She's due in June, so I made hers first. Well, I'm going back to my recliner and crochet. Thanks for stopping by and for understanding my lack of posts, especially those of you who are followers!! Bless your hearts!!

Friendly Encouragement (WT262, CCEE1011)

This card is for two challenges. First, the Ways To Use It Challenge was to make a card of encouragement for someone and then send it. I have a friend who has had many problems with her back. She's had back surgery, but walks very slumped over ever since. Now, she's having more back pain, and the doctor says it's another bad disc. I keep her in my prayers and will send this card to her. Secondly, the CCEE Stampers Challenge is a food inspiration challenge. This week, it's a picture of a nest with chocolate truffle robin eggs. There's also some lavender flowers and just three red ones, too. I used homemade flower soft for the lavender and embossed the little red flowers. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Nature's Nest, Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Papers: Naturals White, Whisper White, Garden Green, Pale Plum
  • Ink: Black Stazon, White Gel Pen
  • Accessories: WCW Crayons, Aqua Painter, Snips, Flower Trio Punch, Mat Pack, Stylus, Bird & Branch Punch, Homemade Flower Soft, Dimensionals, Big Shot, SU! Impressions Folder

Mambo Birthday (SC272)

This is for today's Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com. I loved the sketch, but I'm not too happy with how my card turned out. Maybe it's too much Mambo!! LOL! Everything is from Stampin' Up! though! Thanks for stopping by!!!
  • Stamps: Happy Moments (2010 SAB)
  • Papers: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, White CS from DSP package, Melon Mambo Patterns DSP
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Melon Mambo, In-Color Markers
  • Accessories: Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon, Dimensionals

Easter Dots (MMSC45)

This is for the Midnight Madness sketch challenge. There were two designs, so we had a choice. I thought this one would be easier than the brick wall design, but it's still a bit complicated. You have to get the matted rectangles and the square lined up before you glue them all together and add them to the card. Everything used to make this card came from Stampin' Up! except for the die for the corners. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Well Scripted
  • Papers: Taken With Teal, Close To Cocoa, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Loves Me DSP (retired)
  • Ink: Taken With Teal
  • Accessories: Big Shot, SU! Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, CB Vintage Corners Die, Flower Trio Punch, Bird & Branch Punch, Mat Pack, Stylus, Tiny Half Pearls

Purple Peacock (CC262)

Betty is the hostess for the Color Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com. She asked me to make a sample for this week's challenge. I'm so honored!! The colors are: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive and any neutral. Her "dessert" this week is to use swirls in our designs. I used two kinds of swirls. First, I stamped the Orchid panel with the swirl from "Trendy Trees"; then, I embossed with the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing folder. The peacock was stamped with Rich Razzleberry, and the tail was colored in with the Orchid and Olive Markers; then I dabbed the designs with a Two-Way Glue Pen and added Fine Cosmo Glitter. The ribbon is from the Holiday Mini Catalog (retired). I used Ice Circles Rhinestone Brads to finish it off. Everything except the embossing folder is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!! By the way, this is for Tuesday!!

Hi There! (CAS58)

The Clean & Simple Challenge was to use greens and browns. There were others who chose to use a green frog! I had a scrap with the Labels Four Nestability cut out of it laying on my table. I used it for the reverse masking by sponging with Close To Cocoa. The frog is from All Night Media, and I purchased it at Michael's a long time ago. I think he's cute though! I stamped him with Black Stazon and water colored using Water Color Wonder Crayons (SU!) and an Aqua Painter (SU!). I cut him out and popped him up with a Dimensional. I used Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon and stamped the sentiment from Fundamental Phrases with Chocolate Chip Ink. Thanks for stopping by!!

CASEing Kristen (FS162)

Today's Featured Stamper is Kristen (aka mommylvs2stamp). I chose to CASE this card. I really like the clean and simple design. She made a whole set of these in different colors with different images. I guess I could do the same with the "Tart & Tangy" stamp set. The changes I made were: I used Stampin' Up! products instead of Paper Tray Inc. I eliminated the paper piercing along the horizontal strip, and I added a Red Hemp Twine bow to my Bold Brights Button. All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Tart & Tangy
  • Papers: Real Red, Whisper White, Real Red DSP
  • Ink: Real Red and Green Galore Markers, Whisper White Craft Ink Pad
  • Accessories: Scallop Circle, 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" Circle Punches, Bold Bright Button, Red Hemp Twine, Glue Dots

Trophy (C4C28)

The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is to make a masculine card. Nothing says "manly" like wood paneling and a trophy fish! LOL! I used the Wood grain background stamp and Chocolate Chip ink on the base card (Creamy Caramel) and the "plaque". Then, I die cut the pieces with Labels Four Nestabilities. The Chocolate Chip piece was smeared with Crystal Effects to give it some shine. The fish is Rubber Stampede Trout, but I don't know where I got it. I stamped it with Black Stazon and colored with Tempting Turquoise and Pretty In Pink Markers, blending with an Aqua Painter, to make it look like a Rainbow Trout. The little design at the bottom of the plaque is from Tiny Tags set. Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Happy Bird Day! (IC223)

The Inspiration Challenge for this week is to go to Warm Bisquit which is a web site for children's bedding and accessories. The Fabric Bird Tote Bags inspired me, especially the turquoise one. I used Tempting Turquoise for the base card and die cut the leaves from Whisper White using the Big Shot and the Little Leaves Sizzlit. The bird was punched with the Bird & Branch Punch out of Tempting Turquoise Prints Designer Series Paper (retired). The sentiment came from the Pun Fun set and was stamped with Tempting Turquoise ink on the card stock that comes with Stampin' Up!'s Designer Papers. It was punched with the Scallop Oval Punch and popped up with a Dimensional. I used the fine tip of the Tempting Turquoise Marker to do the faux stitching. All supplies used to make this clean and simple card came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

He Has Risen (TSC0312)

The Twisted Sistahs Challenge was hosted by Deb (Purty Bratty Barbie), and she challenged us to make an Easter card with pink and brown with a ribbon and a charm and use a punch. We were also to make a matching box or bag. Everything here comes from Stampin' Up! except for the stamp and the charm. Thanks for stopping by!

Undah Da Sea (WT261, CCEE1010, MMSC44)

This card is for three challenges. First, the Ways To Use It Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com is called, "What's New?" We were to use something that we have for crafting that is new to us and that we have not used before. I recently purchased all the Satin Ribbons from the Occasions Mini Catalog and have not had a chance to use the Chocolate Chip Ribbon (among others).

Secondly, the CCEE Stampers Challenge was a food inspiration challenge. There were three bowls of caviar which were yellow, orange and brown. The package in the background had a dark blue label on it. That's where I got my color combo. Also, my under the sea theme came from the idea that caviar is fish eggs.

Finally, I used the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge for my layout. I embossed the dark blue layers with the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder, used my "NEW" Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, paper pierced around the yellow layer, and I used the Martha Stewart Fern Punch for the underwater plant. There's also three clear dew drops near the ribbon tabs and I used Dazzling Diamonds on the angel fish and seahorse. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Ocean Commotion (SU! retired)
  • Papers: Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, So Saffron, Only Orange
  • Ink: Basic Black
  • Accessories: Big Shot, CB Tiny Bubbles EF, Mat Pack, Piercer, MS Fern Punch, Dew Drops, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Snips, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds

March Favors

These are some favors I made for the ladies who come to my next Stamp Camp. They're just Kisses in cellophane bags with Pale Plum toppers. Most have bunnies from the Picnic Parade set that were stamped, colored with markers and cut out. I adhered them over the staples. A few have Easter stickers on them.
These favors are for the ladies in my club. I used Stampin' Up!'s XL Mini Milk Carton die. I used some scraps of designer papers to wrap around the cartons. Most of the wrappers are punched with the Scallop Border Punch. I punched out 1" circles and adhered some of my embossed flowers to the circles after adding them to the front of the cartons. The centers were done with markers. All products used for this project came from Stampin' Up!! Thanks for visiting my blog today!!!

On My Mind (SC271)

Today's Sketch Challenge was actually kind of a CASE from a Stampin' Up! catalog except that the original design had a torn edge at the bottom and rounded corners on the sentiment panel. I used Naturals White for the base card and Whisper White for the main image and sentiment panels. The matting is Basic Gray, and the embossed panel (Cuttlebug Tiny Mosaics folder) is Bashful Blue. I sponged the sun with Summer Sun and the sky with Apricot Appeal, Lavender Lace and Bashful Blue. The flowers were stamped with Basic Black and touched up with the Basic Black Marker. The sentiment was stamped with Basic Gray. Everything used on this card came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Joint Challenge (CC261, MMTPT84)

The Color Challenge and Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge were combined intentionally today. The Color Challenge was to use Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Melon Mambo with a neutral. Mothermark's Challenge was to do something quilty or sewy or do some paper piecing. I did the paper piecing on the teapot and the cup. Part 2 of Mothermark's challenge and the dessert for the Color Challenge was to send the card to a young woman in Colorado who is pregnant and battling cancer at the same time. That makes this a "Card for a Cause" as well. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Rubbernecker Tea Time
  • Papers: Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery, GP White, Bashful Blue, Melon Mambo Patterns DSP
  • Ink: Black Stazon
  • Accessories: Big Shot, CB D'vine Swirls EF, Oval Nesties, Snips, Flower Trio Punch, Bird & Branch Punch, Dimensionals, Tiny Blue Half Pearls

Tiny Wishes (CAS57)

The Clean & Simple Challenge for today was to use two different shapes on a card and still keep it Clean and Simple. I used the Scallop Oval Punch and Labels Four Nestie shapes plus the Flower Trio Punched flowers which I embossed and the Bird and Branch Punch for the leaves. The Whisper White background was embossed with the Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate (Small Dots). I already had the embossed panel and the Close to Cocoa base card left over from a Stamp Camp. Everything used to make this card except for the Nestie is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

CASEing Vera (FS161)

Today's Featured Stamper is Vera. I chose to CASE this card. The only changes I made were: Colors, Sentiment and the Flower Center. My base card is Close To Cocoa, the scallop circle is Pretty In Pink, the Designer Paper is Berry Bliss (retired), and the eyelet border is Whisper White. I don't have covered buttons, but I do have a few Pretty In Pink ones. I used linen thread to tie the button and add the bow. The flower came from the Pretties Kit. The Close To Cocoa punched flower was die cut with the Birds n' Blooms Sizzlit. All products used here are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

St. Patty's Day Cards (MMSC43, C4C27)

This first St. Patrick's Day card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The main image is a Dustin Pike Freebie which is cut out twice to pop up the pot of gold. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Teeny Tiny Wishes. The base card and matting is Garden Green. The Designer Paper is the retired Darling Doodles. I used GP White and embossed with Cuttlebug's Spots n' Dots and Swiss Dots embossing folders. I used oval Nesties and oval punches. I cut out each shamrock and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots. It's not too busy, is it?
Nothing says springtime like a St. Patty's Day duck!! LOL! This one is for Crazy 4 Challenges which was to us paper piercing in our designs. This is the first time I've done the piercing in a circle! The base card and mat are Glorious Green. The main image panel and white layer are Whisper White, and the square layer is stamped in Glorious Green using the Sprinkles set. The main image is a dollar stamp from Michael's. I cut out and popped up a shamrock on the hat, covering a flower that was there. The duck was colored with markers. Thanks for stopping by!!

Goal! (WT260, CCEE1009)

This is for the Ways To Use It Challenge which was to design our cards with the theme, "play." My son plays soccer, so I bought the "Just Soccer" set to scrap book soccer photos. I have not done that yet, but I've made two cards with the set. This is also for the CCEE Stampers Challenge which was an inspiration challenge. There's a photo of food where we were to find inspiration. My inspiration came from the placement of the food on the platter. All products used here are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Just Soccer
  • Papers: Naturals White, Glorious Green, Whisper White
  • Ink: Basic Black Classic Ink
  • Accessories: Snips, Dimensionals

White Rabbit Again! (SC270, MMTPT83)

This is for today's Sketch Challenge and yesterday's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. First of all, you have to realize that the bunny is in Wonderland, as in "Alice in Wonderland", so the big, huge flower towering over the bunny is the way things are there! LOL! The "eggs" in the basket are actually polka dotted mushrooms which they seem to have a lot of in Wonderland; however, I think they will pass for eggs, so it's OK for this to be an Easter card! The sketch had a lot of pieces to put together, but I think it turned out nicely with the Tea Party Designer Series Paper. All products, except the border punch, are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Picnic Parade, Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Papers: Almost Amethyst, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Pretty In Pink, Tea Party DSP
  • Ink: Black Stazon, SU! Markers
  • Accessories: MS Border Punch, Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Big Shot, Sweetest Stem Embosslit, Flower Trio Punch, Mat Pack, Stylus, Tiny Lavender Half Pearls, Dimensional

Two Stamp Camp Cards

I have been asked to show some of the cards we made during last Friday's Stamp Camp, so here's a couple. This first one could have been a Thank You, Birthday, or Easter card, depending on the sentiment used. The base card is Perfect Plum with a layer of Whisper White that was embossed the the Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder. The main image was from Water Color Wonders set. We colored the stamp with SU! Markers before stamping, matting and popping it up.
The second card shown here is an Easter card made with Easter Beauty (retired), Wagon Full of Fun (also retired), and Well Scripted. The base card is Pale Plum, the scalloped die cut panel is Green Gable. We stamped the eggs on Pink Pirouette and Pale Plum and colored with SU! Markers. The flower was made from two flower stamps and the leaf stamp from Easter Beauty. We layered them, curled the petals and added homemade Flower Soft to the center. We used Dimensionals and the recycled foam from excess rubber from wood mounted stamps. This was my favorite card of the stamp camp! Now that I've posted these two cards, I've made up for my lack of posting on Friday and Saturday! Thanks for visiting my blog today!!!

White Rabbit Gets the Jump (MMTPT83, CC260)

This is for two Challenges: Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday and this week's Color Challenge. Mothermark's teapot for this week was really wild. It's called, "The Mad Hatter." The tea party is to take place in London at the premiere of Johnny Depp's new movie, Alice in Wonderland. My card shows the White Rabbit already in a field of mushrooms. He got the jump on us again! The Color Challenge was to use Basic Gray, Crushed Curry and Almost Artichoke. The main panel is popped up and so is the rabbit. The mushrooms are hand drawn. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Whipper Snapper Waving Bunny
  • Papers: Basic Gray, Almost Artichoke, Crushed Curry, Naturals Ivory, GP White
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Curry, Gray and Artichoke Markers
  • Accessories: Big Shot, CB Spots n' Dots EF, WCW Crayons, Aqua Painter, Crushed Curry Ribbon, Dimensionals

Happiness Always (CAS56)

Today's Clean & Simple Challenge was to make a square card. Mine is 4-1/4" square. This card only took about 5 minutes to make. I took advantage of some Sale-A-Bration products: Good Neighbor Stamp Set for the house and roof, Whimsical Words Stamp Set for the sentiment and Welcome Neighbor Designer Series Paper. The ink is Dusty Durango and the card base is Old Olive. Everything here is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
