Stamp Camp Cards (TSC0731)

This is project #1 for the Stamp Camp this afternoon and evening. The ladies will have the option of making a dog or cat card. This is a fun set. Eastern Flower (SC239)

This was for today's Sketch Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The flower was colored with Pure Color Pencils, Baby Oil, and a Blender Pen. I touched it up a bit with a Pretty In Pink Marker. The designer paper is three or four years old, and it came from a tablet that was sold at WalMart. It was a gift. Thanks for stopping by!

Felicity Frog (CC229, MMTPT57)

Here's a challenge combo. It's for the Color Challenge on Splitcoaststampers which was to use Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink and Apricot Appeal. I like how those colors work together for a very cheerful look. The other challenge is Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge. This week's teapot is shaped like a frog. I had this image that was sent to me by a friend on SCS. Isn't she lovely?!! The base card here is DCWV Nanna's Kids embossed card stock. The main image is popped up on thick foam squares between the Apricot Appeal and Pixie Pink layers. I wanted Felicity to really stand out. I named her Felicity because I found a definition online that says, "Felicity is defined as happiness: state of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy." I felt she really exhibits intense joy!! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Whipper Snapper - Frog In Love, Short & Sweet
  • Papers: DCWV Nanna's Kids Pack, Pixie Pink, Apricot Appeal, GP White
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Pixie Pink, SU! Markers

Chinese Doll (CAS25)

This is for today's Clean and Simple Challenge. We were given an example card as a sketch layout. I stretched the main image panel just a tad. One of my online friends made a card using a Japanese doll image. I asked where it came from so I could find out if they made Chinese dolls too. She checked the Hero Arts site and sent me a link to the Chinese dolls. I ordered the clear stamp set because my daughter-in-law is Chinese and I thought it would be fun to use the set to make her cards. My mother, son and I are invited to their house this Thursday for a barbecue to celebrate my grand daughter's 4th birthday. I will give her this card as a "Thank You" for all the times she has had us over to eat dinner with them. I used the masking technique to get the bamboo behind the doll. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Hero Arts Chinese Dolls
  • Papers: Whisper White, Basic Black, Rose Red Prints (retired)
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Rose Red Marker, Gold Zig Painty, Versamark
  • Accessories: Gold EP, Heat Tool, Chalks, Basic Black GG Ribbon

The Featured Stamper for this week is Lori (aka Versamom). Lori's original card is the same basic layout and theme. I changed the base card to DCWV Kids' Stack, the oval is Certainly Celery, the stamps are different, and I stamped and punched out the sentiment. Also, I didn't punch the holes in the crimped border. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Scrap Book Night

This is the floral/feminine layout for tonight's Scrap Book Night. The white pieces indicate photos without additional matting. The title would be in the top blank section.
This is the generic layout. The two top white pieces indicate photos. The white piece on the patterned paper with the punched strip would be for journaling.

This is my two-page layout with actual photos. Mine is definitely masculine. It's all about my son's 14th birthday last January up at Eagle Lake, CA. Thanks for stopping by again!!
  • Papers: Kiwi Kiss TCS, Scrap Booking Kit (retired), Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Sizzix Day & Night Alpha Set, Baja Breeze Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, Small Star Punch, Spiral Punch

Birthday Tag (DTGD09)

Yesterday was a busy day with errands, organizing, cooking, and getting ready for tonight's Scrap Book Night, so I didn't have time to upload anything. This is for one of the Dare To Get Dirty challenges. genie1314 was the hostess for the first challenge, and she asked us to use tags on our projects. We could incorporate the use of tags on cards, use them on scrap book pages, or just make tags for gifts. My grand daughter will be 4 next week, so I made this quick little tag to attach to her birthday present. This was supposed to be my Thursday upload. I will be posting the scrap book layouts next. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Bitty Birthday, Zoofari
  • Papers: White CS from DSP pacakges, Pink Passion
  • Ink: Black Stazon, SU! Markers

Pierced Wedding Wishes (SC238)

Today's Sketch Challenge gave me an opportunity to use the piercing template that I found at a blog called "Fred She Said". I just printed it, placed it over the top of the card, and pierced right through it. I sponged, embossed and popped up the three flowers. The flower centers are half pearls that were sent to me by Pam24. Pam is so sweet! She didn't even want anything in return, but I'm going to find out something she likes and send it to her. The whole inside of the card is lined with Pink Pirouette, and the only stamping is on the inside. It's the wedding blessing from the "God's Blessings" set. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: God's Blessings (Inside)
  • Papers: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Brushed Silver, Pink Pirouette Patterns DSP
  • Ink: Pink Pirouette (sponging), Black Stazon (Inside)

Gary (MMTPT56)

This is for Mother Mark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. More details may be found on her blog, "This is my Story." I thought her challenges looked like fun but never participated before. When I saw the teapot shaped like a snail, I immediately thought of Gary, Spongebob Squarepants' pet snail. You know, the one that meows like a cat!!! Anyway, there was a lot of talk about the Tour De France, so I thought the sentiment and Gary, the snail, would work. The sentiment says, "If at first you don't succeed, find out if the loser gets anything." - Bill Lyon. I downloaded the image from the Spongebob Squarepants website. Thanks for visiting my blog!!!
  • Stamps: Smarty Pants, Downloaded Image
  • Papers: Kiwi Kiss, Taken with Teal, Whisper White
  • Ink: Taken with Teal, SU! Markers
  • Accessories: Big Shot, CB Tiny Bubbles EF, Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities, Polka Dot GG Ribbon

Bloom in Pink (CC228)

Today's Color Challenge was unusual for me: Not Quite Navy, Really Rust and Pretty In Pink. In fact, I'm still not sure if I like my card, but I got all those colors in there! I only embossed the top portion of the pink layer leaving room for the punched border and the sentiment. I water colored the main image using the challenge colors (plus a little green for the leaves). Everything except for the Nestabilities is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Bloomin' Beautiful
  • Papers: Not Quite Navy, Pretty In Pink, Really Rust, White CS from DSP pkg.
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Not Quite Navy
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate (Flourish), Nesities, Eyelet Border Punch, WCW Crayons, Aqua Painter, Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

Mojo Monday Card (Mojo96)

I missed last week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge somehow. This week's layout was for a square card, and I actually made a square card! I guess I'm not so contrary this week! LOL! This card is a big 5-3/8" square. It will fit into Stampin' Up!'s medium square envelope. The base and the scallop mat are Bashful Blue. There's a layer of designer paper that is hard to see because it's striped. I used the other side of the same paper for the vertical strips. The circle is cut from the card stock that comes in the designer paper packages. I used a lot of scraps on this card. The designer paper and the ribbon are both 2009 Sale-A-Bration items. The little flowers are embossed and sponged with a tiny greenish rhinestone in the centers. Everything used on this card is from Stampin' Up! except the Nestabilities and rhinestones. Thanks for stopping by again!!
  • Stamps: Elegant Cheer (retired)
  • Papers: Bashful Blue, CS from DSP Package, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Delicate Dots DSP (2009 SAB)
  • Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue (sponging flowers)
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Nesties, Sweetest Stem Embosslit, Flower Trio Punch, Rhinestones, So Saffron GG Ribbon (2009 SAB), Mat Pack, Stylus, Sponge

Cricut Crayons (CAS24)

Today's Clean & Simple Challenge was a color combo: Turquoise, Orange and Yellow. I finally had a chance to use the "My Community" cartridge for my Cricut machine and made the crayons. I'm sending this to my grandchildren in California. The white layer is embossed with Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate - Large Dots. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
  • Papers: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Basic Black
  • Ink: Only Orange
  • Accessories: Cricut Machine, My Community Cartridge, Big Shot, Backgrounds #2 Texturz Plate (Large Dots), Yellow Satin Ribbon, 2-way Glue Pen, Dimensionals

Punched Butterfly (StampinB #15)

Over at Stampin' B's Design Team, the hostess for this week's challenge was Lois (aka Clownmom). She challenged us to use a butterfly on our project. More details are on the Stampin' B's Design Team blog. I started this card yesterday morning but got sick and didn't finish it until today. The base card and scallop oval mat are Almost Amethyst, the white is Whisper White, and the green is Kiwi Kiss. The white layer is embossed with a Stampin' Up! Texturz Plate (Eyelet), the leaves were die cut with SU!'s Little Leaves Sizzlit, and the flowers were punched with the Flower Trio Punch and then sponged and embossed. The butterfly was stamped and then punched out with the new Butterfly Punch from SU! Thanks again for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
  • Papers: Almost Amethyst, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss
  • Ink: Almost Amethyst
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Eyelet Texturz Plate, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Oval Nesties, Flower Trio Punch, Butterfly Punch, Mat Pack, Stylus, Sponge, Rhinestone, Dimensionals

CASEing Diane (FS128)

Diane (aka minnidr) is this week's Featured Stamper. She created this beautiful card. She used a technique (Water Color Roses) which can be found here. It's a great tutorial. The only changes I made were the colors used on the rose, my leaves were stamped and cut out, and my sentiment is different. All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, A Rose is a Rose, Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Papers: Naturals White, Basic Black, Whisper White, Shimmery White
  • Ink: Versamark, Old Olive, Basic Black; Re-inkers: Lavender Lace, Pale Plum

Twisted Sistahs Challenge (TSC0717)

The challenge was to use only black, brown or gray for a neutral color...NO white, ivory, or vanilla. I'm the newbie in the Twisted Sistahs Group, but they used my suggestion for this challenge. Talk about acceptance!! I'm still howling at the moon at 2:00 AM until Tuesday! (It's a long story, LOL!) This is a very simple card, really. I just used a combination of Chocolate Chip card stock, Pink Pirouette Designer Series Paper, and Holiday Happenings Designer Series Paper. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! except for the Nestabilities and the border punch. Thanks again for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
  • Papers: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette DSP, Holiday Happenings DSP
  • Ink: Chocolate Chip
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Label Four Nesties, MS Border Punch, Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon

Friend (LSC229)

This is for today's Limited Supplies Challenge. We were to use either our wedding colors or our school colors, and we were to use either staples, or clips, or photo turns. I went with my high school colors (red, black, white) and the clip. The base card is Naturals White. The designer paper is matted on Basic Black, and the top portion is embossed. The main image is stamped with Black Stazon on the white card stock from the designer paper package. The image is colored with markers. I can't remember which set the tag stamp came from. I think I have three sets all mixed up in a punch box tin. One set came with the tag punch and some ink spots in the tin. One set was a hostess set, and the other set was a tag set from a few years ago. All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Friends 24-7, Tag Stamp (SU!)
  • Papers: Naturals White, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, White CS from DSP package, Prints Pack (Real Red) (Retired)
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Real Red; SU! Markers: Real Red, Going Gray, Garden Green, Black Journaler
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate (Eyelet), Small and Large Tag Punches, Black Gingham Ribbon, Mini Library Clip, Dimensionals

July Ladies' Night Out Club Projects

Project #1 is a birthday card, and it's the same as the card we made for the Thursday Niters except that this one is a gift card holder.
This photo shows the inside of the card with a fake gift card in the middle. We've done these before, but some of the ladies haven't had a chance to learn how to do them and have requested that I demonstrate this type of gift card holder. All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up!
  • Stamps: Lots of Bots
  • Papers: Bermuda Bay, Yoyo Yellow, Whisper White, Holiday Happenings DSP (retired)
  • Ink: Black Stazon
  • Accessories: WCW Crayons, Aqua Painter, Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Small Oval Punch
Project #2 is also for today's Ways To Use It Challenge: Seeing Double. We were to use two "somethings" on our card. I love making these embossed, layered flowers, so I CASEd my own layout from Tuesday's Color Challenge. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! except for the Nestability and brads. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Papers: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Kiwi Kiss, White CS from DSP package

Happy (SC237)

This is for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. The base card is Sahara Sand. Next is Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper (DSP) on a Bashful Blue mat. The horizontal strip is the other side of the same DSP also matted on Bashful Blue. The main image panel is Whisper White on Bashful Blue. The image was stamped with Sahara Sand, and the flowers were highlighted with a So Saffron Marker. A yellow-green rhinestone was added to the one flower and the sentiment was stamped with Versamark, then Sahara Sand and embossed with Crystal Clear embossing powder (EP). One corner of the main image panel is pierced and all four corners of the base card are pierced. The inside is lined with white with a strip of the DSP at the bottom. All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Asian Artistry (Level 2 Hostess), Fundamental Phrases

Hello! (CC227)

Today's Color Challenge, hosted by NANCYRUTH, was to use Lavender Lace, Barely Banana, Going Gray, Black, and White. The base card here is Lavender Lace with a layer of Whisper White that has been embossed with Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate (Small Dots). The two white die cut panels were cut from the white card stock that comes with the Designer Series Paper. I've been using that a lot lately. The edges are sponged, and I did just a bit of paper piercing. The leaves were cut using Little Leaves Sizzlit and Going Gray card stock. The flowers were cut using Birds & Blooms Sizzlits and Barely Banana card stock. Both leaves and flowers were also sponged with Lavender Lace. I stamped the sentiment with Lavender Lace, but I meant to use Basic Black. The panel was done, so I used Vintage Brads for the flower centers to get that black in there! Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the Labels 4 Nestability. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
  • Papers: Lavender Lace, Whisper White, Going Gray, Barely Banana, White CS from DSP package
  • Ink: Lavender Lace
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate (Small Dots), Labels 4 Nesties, Birds & Blooms Sizzlits, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Sponge, Mat Pack, Piercer, Vintage Brads, Dimensionals, Pop-up Glue Dots

Giraffe Minus Monkeys (CAS23)

I didn't think my other card was Clean & Simple enough, so I made another one for the CAS Challenge. I still used the Art for Children category. The print I chose this time may be found here. As you can see, their giraffe had monkeys crawling all over it; mine is minus the monkeys!

The main image was stamped with Crushed Curry with the spots colored in with Melon Mambo Marker; then, it was cut out and adhered to a More Mustard rectangle which is matted on a Melon scallop rectangle. I embossed the lower right with a mini Cuttlebug embossing folder and added Melon Ribbon with a knot. Now, this one IS clean and simple! Thanks for stopping by again!!
  • Stamps: Animal Stories
  • Papers: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, More Mustard
  • Ink: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo Marker
  • Accessories: Big Shot, CB Mini EF, Rectangle and Scallop Rectangle Nesties, Melon Mambo Polka Dot GG Ribbon, Dimensionals

Wish (CAS23)

The Clean & Simple Challenge today was an inspiration challenge based on posters, etc. at www.artwork.com. I chose this print. The base card is Bashful Blue. I sponged the Whisper White layer with Bashful Blue and Lavender Lace. The balloons were punched with the Small Star Punch and 3/4" Circle Punch. The elephant was stamped with Pretty In Pink, cut out and popped up. The sentiment was stamped with Brilliant Blue on Whisper White, punched out with the Word Window Punch, and layered on a Bashful Blue piece that was punched with the new Modern Label Punch; then, it was also popped up. All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks again for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Short & Sweet
  • Papers: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, Glorious Green, Brilliant Blue, Rich Razzleberry
  • Ink: Bashful Blue, Lavender Lace, Brilliant Blue, White Gel Pen
  • Accessories: 3/4" Circle, Small Star, Word Window, and Modern Label Punches, Snips, Sponge, Dimensionals, Thread

For the Newlyweds (FS127)

This week's Featured Stamper is Kelly (aka Schirmcat). Here's her card that inspired me. Instead of punching out the shape, adhering it to the front of the card and adding the flowers around it, I used the new Movers & Shapers Heart Die from Stampin' Up to cut out the heart on the card front. I used the Large Heart Punch from SU! for the heart on the inside of the card and popped it up on Dimensionals. I lined the inside (back) with Barely Banana before adding the popped up heart. Instead of brads, I used pearls for the flower centers, and instead of the eyelet piece, I punched a strip with the Eyelet Border Punch. I used a scrap of yellow ribbon from the Ribbon Originals (retired). All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! except for the mini half pearls. Thanks for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Papers: Whisper White, Barely Banana
  • Ink: Basic Black, Barely Banana
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Movers & Shapers XL Die w/Heart Die, Heart Punch, Sponge, Dimensionals, Mat Pack, Stylus, Mini Half Pearls, Eyelet Border Punch, Ribbon, Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate (Small Dots)

I'm Back!!!

We went camping over the weekend. We left Friday about 1:30 PM and went to a local reservoir which is only about 20 minutes away. We went swimming on Saturday and I got a sunburn on my face. I forgot to use the sun block! It's my own fault. On Saturday evening, it got very windy. I don't know the wind speed, but it almost blew our tent down! When it died down a bit, we started hauling things to the car and my friend's truck. We didn't care whose stuff was what at that point. We had a hard time folding the tent, so we just rolled it up and stuffed it into the car. The dark clouds were building up in the west, so we thought it might rain, too. We got home at around 8:30 PM Saturday night. Boy, were we tired!! Yesterday, we just laid around and watched TV all day! I found the Featured Stamper card I wanted to do but had no energy to make it. I made it this morning though. It will be in my next post. I'm glad to be home, but we did enjoy ourselves!!

I'm Yours (TSC0710)

I saw a couple of cards done with last week's Twisted Sistah's Challenge and they sparked my interest. I sent a private message on Splitcoast and asked some questions. I was invited to join this fun group on their thread where they chat and I was also invited to participate in this week's challenge. What a great group!! This card is for this week's challenge to make a humorous card with the name of a song as the title. I happen to like the song, "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. You can see a live performance of the song I like on U-Tube here. I received this image from someone on Splitcoast, but I can't remember who. Isn't that awful?!! I need to start writing names on the back of images I receive from friends on Splitcoast! Anyway, the image is from Whipper Snapper. Can you feel the passion?!!! He's thinking, "I'll be makin' bacon real soon!" and she's thinking, "I'm yours, ya big hunk!" LOL! This was sure a fun challenge!!! Thanks again for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Whipper Snapper
  • Papers: Naturals White, Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, GP White, Real Red
  • Ink: Black Stazon
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Dottie Texturz Plate, Heart to Heart Punch, Water Color Crayons, Baby Oil, Blender Pen

Christmas in July (WT226)

Today's Ways To Use It Challenge was to make a Christmas card. I made mine clean and simple. I just embossed the white layer with Sizzix Christmas Trees Texturz Plate, added the foam tree sticker and plastic star, and I colored the "Happy" with a Water Color Pencil and blended with an Aqua Painter. I also went over "holidays" with the gold end of the Zig Painty. Thanks for stopping by!!
  • Stamps: Big on Christmas
  • Papers: Glorious Green, GP White, Real Red
  • Ink: Black Stazon, Zig Painty
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Sizzix Texturz Plate (Christmas trees), Foam Tree Sticker, Plastic Star, Dimensionals

Asian Flower (SC236, FTTC23)

Today's Sketch Challenge had a lot of layers which is what I like! This is also for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge which was to "Cut it out and pop it up." I cut out the flower and popped it up on a sponged background. That was some fussy cutting! The only item here that isn't from Stampin' Up! is the DCWV card stock with the leaves. Thanks for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Asian Artistry (Level 2 Hostess)
  • Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, DCWV Mat Stack, CS from DSP package

Thursday Niters Club Projects

We're doing Clean and Simple cards this Thursday because everyone needs the extra time to look through the new catalog. This was made with one of the new stamp sets as well as the new In-Color card stock.
  • Stamps: Autumn Days, Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Papers: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, CS from DSP packages
  • Ink: Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Nesties, Sponge, 2-way Glue Pen, Fine Cosmo Glitter
This one was made with another of the new sets, another new In-Color card stock, and the coordinating In-Color ribbon. I think this makes a cute birthday card for a boy or a girl. Thanks again for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Lots of Bots
  • Papers: Bermuda Bay, Yoyo Yellow, Whisper White
  • Ink: Black Stazon
  • Accessories: Water Color Wonder Crayons, Aqua Painter, Bermuda Bay Ribbon

Get Well (CC226)

I almost forgot to upload this one! This is for the Color Challenge on Splitcoast. We were to use Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Creamy Caramel, and Apricot Appeal or any three of those. I used all four. The base card is Baja Breeze with a layer of Tempting Turquoise and a layer of Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper on that. I used the faux wood technique on the Creamy Caramel panel and die cut the flowers out of Apricot Appeal. All the sponging was done with Creamy Caramel. The sentiment panel was made using the Word Window Punch, a 1/2" piece of Tempting Turquoise (trimmed around the ends to make a mat), and then layering on a piece punched with the new Modern Label Punch. All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!
  • Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Papers: Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Creamy Caramel, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White, Walk in the Park DSP
  • Ink: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip Marker
  • Accessories: Big Shot, Birds & Blooms Sizzlits, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Sponge, Rhinestone Brads, Pop-up Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch

Pretty Pheasant (Mojo94)

This is for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. The stamp sets I used for this are new. The base card is Pumpkin Pie with a layer of Pumpkin Pie Patterns Designer Series Paper matted on Chocolate Chip and sponged with Chocolate Chip Ink. The first horizontal strip is a scrap of My Mind's Eye designer paper that's also matted on Chocolate Chip. The next layer is a scrap piece of DCWV Mat Stack card stock which is also matted on Chocolate Chip. The main image panel is card stock from a designer paper package which is also matted and sponged. The image was stamped with Timber Brown Stazon which SU! no longer carries. I used a two-way glue pen to add the Fine Cosmo Glitter in green and purple. The medallion was made using three circle punches. I distressed the designer paper layer. The sentiment panel was made by stamping, punching with the Word Window Punch, adhering to a 1/2" strip of Chocolate Chip, and trimming around the ends. I stacked Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Ribbon atop of Chocolate Chip 5/8" Ribbon. Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the scraps of My Mind's Eye designer paper and DCWV Mat Stack card stock. Thanks again for stopping by!

Hedgehog B-Day (CAS22)

Today's Clean & Simple Challenge was to make a simple birthday card. The stamp set I used retired in 2005, but one of my friends got it from a friend at work, I borrowed it, then, I talked her into a trade. I just love this set! The base card is from Taste of Textiles Specialty Paper which just retired. I hope you can see how it shimmers. The inside is completely lined with white, partly to cover the ribbon ends, and partly to make it stiffer. The main image panel was die cut with Nestabilities out of the card stock that comes in the designer paper packages. I love using up that stuff! I didn't use the shiny side this time because I wanted to water color the image. The ribbon is the new Bermuda Bay In-Color Ribbon. We were so looking forward to polka dot ribbons!! Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! except for the Nestabilities. Thanks for stopping by!!

Skydiving Monkey (FS126)

Today's Featured Stamper was Sandra, aka B-gin-R. She has a wonderful gallery. The card that inspired me may be found here. I changed colors, papers, stamps, ribbon, and I made a die cut layered flower on a punched circle instead of the sentiment panel. The designer series paper used here is Holiday Happenings, a retired Level 3 Hostess Bundle paper. I started with a Kiwi Kiss base card, then there's a layer of the designer paper matted on Chocolate Chip. The horizontal strip of designer paper was punched with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch. Next, there's a vertical panel of designer paper also matted on Chocolate Chip. The main image panel is the rough side of the cardboard that comes in the designer paper packages, and it's matted on Chocolate Chip as well. I stamped the image with Chocolate Chip ink, colored with a Blender Pen and inks as well as a Creamy Caramel Marker. The parachute was paper pieced with the designer paper. The flower was die cut from a scrap of Pink Pirouette, embossed and sponged with Chocolate Chip before adhering it to the punched circle. It's popped up with a Dimensional. The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon. Everything except the MS Punch is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Broken Bot (SASSC22, StampinB #13)

I made one more card today because I won't be posting tomorrow. We have a parade in our little city, and my son and his youth group will be in it. We can't miss that! Then, I will be having guests over for a barbecue. I've already made the potato salad! It will be a full day ending with watching the fireworks at the park from my front lawn. Anyway, back to the card. This is for the Stamps and Smiles Thursday Sketch Challenge AND the weekly challenge over at Stampin'B's Design Team. The sketch was actually a square card layout, but I haven't been feeling like doing square cards lately, so I stretched it out to an A2 size. Faith (Markie'sMom) hosted the challenge over at Stampin' B's, and she wanted us to use metal on our cards. What could be more metal than a robot?!!! LOL! I did add the Phillip's Screw Brads. I stamped the images with Encore Gold and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I used the crimper on the Brushed Silver panel and made the scallops by punching Brushed Silver with the 1" Circle Punch. Thanks again for stopping by!!

Tropical Bird (LSC227)

What a fun challenge we had today at Splitcoast! The Limited Supplies Challenge was to use only digital images and die cuts, no stamping. (Not great for my SU! sales though) We could also use not more than two embellishments. I didn't think this needed any though. I found a blog where there's a "freebie" at least once a week. The blog author is quite an artist! I downloaded the parrot, printed it, colored it (SU!'s Pure Color Pencils, baby oil, Blender Pen), and cut it out. The striped paper was a download from the same site. I went to print green stripes, but my printer is low on ink and ran out of yellow. Most of the page was blue stripes! I decided to use the end with the green and blue stripes, so that worked out anyway! I used Nestabilities to cut out the rectangles and ran the Kiwi panel through the Big Shot in the Floral Screen Cuttlebug embossing folder. I used Birds & Blooms Sizzlit Set to cut the flower layers. After sponging and embossing the flower, I used a Pop-up Glue Dot to adhere it to the card. The branches were die cut with the Sweetest Stem Embosslit. Have I told you how much I love those Embosslits?!!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Stamps (SC235)

The sketch challenge on SCS was a layout with nine shapes. Most cards were square cards with squares or circles. Some even had butterflies. I didn't feel like making a square card, so I thought I'd use rectangles. Then, I thought of the stamp template that I have. The little stamps are incentive stamps that we use for door prizes at workshops, usually along with an ink spot. I usually package them up with a cute topper. Anyway, I sponged the background on each stamp with Crushed Curry and stamped with Razzleberry. I used the reverse masking technique for the background. The base card is Basic Black with a layer of Razzleberry that has been embossed with a Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate. I'm not feeling so well today, so I didn't even fix my mistakes, but you get the point. Anyway, it's homemade, right? All products used to make this card are from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
