I used pretty much the same layout for both cards and kept them clean and simple. The first project is done with Naturals White and Cherry Cobbler card stocks. The base card is scored using the new Simply Scored scoring board which I love. I colored only the stems of the cherries from "Button Buddies" with a marker and then stamped and added the buttons with Mini Glue Dots. The matted panel is popped up with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" and the cherries on the inside and on the envelope are from "Create A Cupcake."
This project is intended to be more masculine. I used Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy and Naturals Ivory card stocks along with Well Worn DSP. I used the "Not So Seriously" stamp set for the image and sentiment and the sentiment, "from the whole muttley crew" on the inside. I stamped with Black Stazon and water colored with Water Color Wonder Crayons and an Aqua Painter. Everything is flat for easy mailing. Everything used to make these cards came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Punched Only (MMTPT161)
This is my Tuesday post (a little early). There were three tea pots this week. One had a big yellah flower, as Mothermark says, another was shaped like a lady bug and one had lots of leaves and ladybugs on it. We were to bring ladybugs to this party. This card has the flower, some leaves and one big lady bug. There's no stamps here. I just used punches: Fancy Flower, 1/4" Circle, 3/4" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle and Blossom Builder. I also embossed the Whisper White layer. The base card is Naturals White. There's a big Flower Brad in the center of the flower. Everything is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!
Punched Hello (CAS133)
No cards or posting yesterday. I was babysitting AND dealing with a broken water pipe under the house. You don't appreciate your water coming out of a tap until you don't have it!
The Clean & Simple challenge is to use Kraft (Crumb Cake) and bright or primary colors. I used a new hostess set, "Posy Punch". I also used my new Simply Scored scoring board. I love that thing!!! I stamped with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point inks on Whisper White and then punched the flowers with the Fancy Flower Punch and the sentiment with the 1" Circle Punch. Everything here is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Stripes (C4C102)
Over at Crazy 4 Challenges, the challenge is to make a masculine card in honor of Father's Day down under. I guess they celebrate Father's Day in the middle of winter down there. I stamped the zebra from "Zoo Review" on Whisper White and matted on Basic Black and Tangerine Tango. The base card is Naturals White and the designer paper is about 15 years old. I had bought it for scrap booking zoo photos. The Basic Black strip was embossed with Tim Holtz' Tree EF. This was a quickie card and is flat for easy mailing. I'm sending it to a friend who just had shoulder surgery. Hey, what's black and white and red all over? A sunburned zebra, of course! LOL! The stamp and card stocks are all from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Scary & Sweet (TSC0826, WT337)
The Ways To Use It Challenge is to use a recycled item on a card. That piece of dp is actually some packaging for some scrap booking goodies, and it was already scalloped. The other side has photos of what comes in the package. I also made another Halloween card for the Twisted Sistahs Challenge. The card stocks are Tangerine Tango, Lavender Lace and Whisper White. The image is from "Greeting Card Kids" and is water colored, and the sentiment is from "Goblin Greetings." Everything except the ribbon and the Nesties came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
Button Buddy (SC347)
Well, I finally got around to doing the Sketch Challenge for this week. I like the two overlapping panels, one with DSP and the other with the main image. I also like the horizontal strip that is just right for the sentiment. I stamped and cut out the pig from "Button Buddies" and popped her up on the white panel. The DSP is retired and so are the Soft Subtles Buttons. The card stocks are Naturals White, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

BOO! (TSC0826)
Well, I'm skipping ahead, but I'm hoping I can find time to go back and do yesterday's sketch challenge. Tomorrow's challenge for the Twisted Sistahs was presented by Tater. Phyllis just asked us to make a Halloween card. I used the Sizzix Haunted House die which also included the bat. The mummy and thought bubble are dollar stamps from Mike's. I embossed the Lavender Lace panel with the Cuttlebug Skeleton Scroll EF. It does't go all the way to the edges of this big card, but it works. I popped up the mummy and bat with Dimensionals. Thanks for stopping by!!
In My Heart (MMTPT160)
We're at Tuesday's challenge now. For this tea party, we were to bring a bird, a heart, some flowers and a ribbon. I used the Hearts & Brackets Sizzix Die from Stampin' Up! for the heart and the Bird Builder Punch. I also used the 4-petal flower from the Punch Pack and embossed the flowers. I embossed the Very Vanilla layer with the Elegant Bouquet folder and added Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon. The card stocks are Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue and Whisper White. Actually, this was a quickie card because I'm trying to catch up. Everything is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
Hot Hello (CAS132, TLC339)
Well, let's go back to Monday of this week since I've been kind of busy and haven't had a chance to post. There are two Monday challenges represented here: Clean & Simple and Technique Lovers Challenge. The Clean & Simple Challenge was for us to be inspired by the word, "Hot." I used warm colors, and flip flops which remind me of summer. The Technique Lovers Challenge was to go into our Favorites Folder and find the very first card we uploaded there. Mine was this one by Glittergal which she uploaded in 2004! I changed the theme from winter to summer, changed the colors and I eliminated one panel by coloring, cutting out and popping up the flip flops directly onto the crimped panel. Everything except the small "hello" EF is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

Thankful Thoughts (FS237)
Our Featured Stamper this week is sweetnsassystamps. Korin has a stamp company that is the newest member company at SCS. I chose to CASE her "Blessed to call you friend!" card. I changed the papers and stamps. I didn't use the gold half pearls because I didn't have enough. Instead of stamping and coloring my image, I stamped the pumpkins and gourd from the "Autumn Harvest" (retired) set on Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and Old Olive card stocks and cut them out. The DSP is "Autumn Vine" (retired), and I used Naturals Ivory for the base card with Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Really Rust (retired) for the layers. The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon. Everything except the oval and scalloped oval Nesties is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Know that I care
I just found out that a former club member just lost her sister. I had to make a sympathy card for her. I used Blushing Bride and Whisper White card stocks with the "Thoughts and Prayers" stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black over the greenery which is Wild Wasabi. The die cuts are from Spell Binders, the pearls from Mike's and the ribbon is from Mark's Finest Papers. Everything else is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!
Best Witches! (SC346)
This is for this week's Sketch Challenge. Now, our TSC for next Friday is to make a Halloween card. I thought that, as long as I'm doing the sketch, I might as well make it a Halloween card, sort of a practice run! I used Old Olive for the base and the vertical strip. The strip was embossed with the Spider Web EF. The DSP is last year's Halloween patterns called Night Owl. Everything is matted with Basic Black. The witch, broom and moon, from "Halloween Hoot" were stamped with Basic Black on Very Vanilla. I masked the moon and sponged. The witches face, hands, hat band as well as the moon were colored with Markers. I used a White Gel Pen for her teeth. The sentiment was stamped on Naturals Ivory and then sponged, then it was punched with the Large Oval Punch with a Scallop Oval punched mat. The sentiment panel is popped up on Dimensionals. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello (TSC0819)
I've been MIA all week! Busy, busy; can't wait till summer's over! I'll get back to daily card making again, maybe. Anyway, I couldn't miss the Twisted Sistahs Challenge this week because I am the presenter! I challenged everyone to make a Clean & Simple card, but they had to use Crumb Cake (Kraft), Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Very Vanilla (Ivory). I used a Crumb Cake base card and made my main panel out of Very Vanilla matted on Rich Razzleberry. I die cut the leaves out of Old Olive using the Little Leaves Sizzlit and punched out the flowers using Rich Razzleberry and the four petal flower from the Punch Pack. I embossed the little flowers and added Basic Pearls to the centers. The sentiment from "Swirls & Curls Verses" (hostess) was stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink, and the birdie and musical notes were colored with the Rich Razzleberry Marker. The matted panel is popped up with Dimensionals. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

CASEing Penny (FS236)
The Featured Stamper for this week is pawallen142. Penny has a beautiful gallery. I chose to CASE this card. I changed the colors, stamps, DSP, and I cut out and popped up the individual flower. I also left off the pearls because I forgot! Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks again for stopping by!!!
My little gardens
I have three 4' X 4' planter boxes now (square foot gardens). In one, there's cucumbers, peppers, a honeydew plant and flowers.
This is my cucumber plant. There's a couple of cucumbers that are over a foot long now. I need to pick them soon.
This is the square foot garden that I made a scrap book page out of. That was before this pumpkin plant took off cascading over the sides of the garden.
This is one of the pumpkins. There will be quite a few. This one is already about 4" in diameter. My grand daughter will have fun choosing one for Halloween.
This is one of my pepper plants. This is the yellow bell pepper. There's another darker green pepper near the top. There's lots of flowers too.
This is my basil plant next to the cherry tomato plant. The basil plant is over two feet tall. I expect the cherry tomato plant to be at least four feet high. I just thought I'd share. When I'm not involved with card making and not taking care of others, I love to work in my little gardens! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Top Note Thanks (TSC0812)
Wednesday is my babysitting day now. I watch my one-year old grand daughter, Maddie. It's hard to make cards with a toddler running around. When she takes a nap is when I get a breather! LOL! Thursdays are long days for us because I take my mom (96) to the Senior Center for lunch, and we stay for Penny Bingo afterwards. The bingo is good for her brain. She has Alzheimer's. Anyway, sometimes I'm too tired after that to make cards, too. That brings us to Fridays. I really try to make the TSC card every Friday. That's what I did this morning.
Sillyfilly (Sylvia) presented the Twisted Sistahs Challenge this week. Silly asked us to make a card that had a different shape other than square or rectangular. I used the Top Note Die to make this top folding card. We were also to have at least three layers. To the Naturals White base, I added DSP and a strip of Certainly Celery that was punched with the Scallop Border Punch. The sentiment panel is two layers punched with the Decorative Label Punch and Large Oval Punch and separated with Dimensionals. The flowers from "Fabulous Florets" were stamped, sponged with a dauber, cut out and popped up. I added a little more black in the centers with a Basic Black Marker. We were also to use ribbon or twine. I used Certainly Celery Ribbon Seam Binding at the top. The sentiment is from "Short & Sweet". The leaves in the background were stamped with Lucky Limeade. Everything is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

Woof! (MMTPT158)
This week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge is all about dogs. Patrick (or PJ) in New York is fighting for his life with cancer. He loves animals and has a golden retriever. I used a Real Red base card and background oval, Naturals White scalloped oval and sentiment panel and DCWV Glitter Stack card stock. The dog stamp was from Inkadinkado's "Dogs" stamp set which was a birthday present from Greenie (irishgreensue). The bone brad was also from Greenie. I hope you can see all the glitter on the background card stock as well as the Dazzling Diamonds I added to those white polka dots on the dog. What a fun card to make! Thanks for stopping by!!!

August 2011 Stamp Camp (Part 2)
I promised everyone we'd have some fall cards for this stamp camp, but this is the only one that really looks like a fall card. Let's just say that they're all done in fall colors. This one is Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stocks and Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie inks. The ribbon is Celery Ribbon Seam Binding.
I accidentally picked up a piece of Lucky Limeade and made this card, but we will be using Certainly Celery which matches the strip of DSP better. I did some paper piercing around the main image panel. The main image is from "Faith In Nature" which is a hostess set. I swished the BG with Celery and Wasabi WCW Crayons and then stamped the image over that with Black Stazon when it was dry. The opening is a bit different on this one.
This is my blue card. It's a sympathy card. The sentiment is from "Thoughts and Prayers", and they will have the option of stamping more on the inside from the same set. This is Whisper White on Naturals White with a strip of DSP and a Marina Mist butterfly. I used the Decorative Label Punch and the Large Oval to create the frame around the sentiment. I also sponged with Marina Mist.

No Water (CAS130)
The Clean & Simple Challenge was to be inspired by this sketch by Die Cut Diva (Terri). I made mine 4-1/4" square because I didn't need as much space for my image. I'm sending this, along with a prayer, to a friend of mine in Texas. They sure do need some rain down there and some relief from those triple digit temperatures! The stamps used were "Countryside" and "Teeny Tiny Wishes", and the inks were Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. The card stock is Naturals Ivory. It's not often we get to make one-layer cards anymore. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

August 2011 Stamp Camp (Part 1)
I'm working on Stamp Camp projects for August 19th. I want to get them all designed by the end of this week and start cutting by next Sunday. That's the plan anyway. These are the first two projects, and I will post the other three later. Project #1 is Real Red and Whisper White card stocks and gingham dp. I'm going to be using Pawsitively Prints I, but I didn't have enough for all the cards plus mine, so I used a different gingham. The bowl of cherries from "Cherish Friendship" was water colored and cut out. It's also popped up on the punched circles. The sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes". The ribbon knots are Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon. The bottom half of the card is embossed with the Square Lattice folder.
Project #2 emphasizes the sentiment from "Full of Life" AND I used two different DSP's because of this months Buy Three, Get 1 Free sale on DSP's. The card stocks are Tangerine Tango, Peach Parfait and Whisper White. The ribbon is Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon. I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit for the butterfly and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch for the piece across the sentiment panel. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Saturday's events
I didn't make any cards yesterday because we spent the day (whole day) at the Northern Nevada Special Olympics Softball Tournament.
Here's a photo of our Fernley Wildcats. My son is the first on the left in the front row. They did quite well since this is their first year doing softball. The Wildcats came in 2nd and took home silver medals!! We're sure proud of them!

Merry (TSC0805)
Our Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week was presented by 101Airborne. This is Kathy's very first TSC presentation, and it's a good one! Kathy asked us to make a Christmas card without any traditional Christmas colors. We teased her a lot about different shades of green and so forth. It's been fun on the bus! LOL! Anyway, we were to use at least one embossing folder (I used the Square Lattice EF AND the Merry Embosslit), one punch or die (I used the Merry Details Sizzlit), we needed to have at least three layers AND at least one embellishment. I think I got it all covered. I used Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stocks and Whisper White Satin Ribbon as well. Oh yes, I also used Basic Pearls in the upper right. I was inspired by a fall card in the September issue of CardMaker Magazine. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

August 2011 Club Projects (SC344)
I was able to work on these yesterday, at least a little, but I babysit on Wednesdays now, so I'm a bit busy with my 13 month old grand daughter.
This month, if you buy three Designer Series Papers (DSP), you get one more for FREE! I'm featuring DSP on both cards. This first card was inspired by the first card on page 184 of the catalog. It's also the first card on the flyer about the sale. I made mine an A2 size card instead of square and I used different DSP. The flower was die cut from "Beyond the Garden" DSP using the Fun Flowers die. The other DSP is "Just Add Cake". The sentiment, stamped with Melon Mambo, is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
This card should have been posted yesterday because it is this week's Sketch. I let my embossing folder do most of the work here. I used more "Just Add Cake" DSP on this one, and that DSP determined my card stock colors: So Saffron, Marina Mist, Calypso Coral (In-Color) and Whisper White for the flower. The flower was stamped, colored, cut out and popped up on the circle punched pieces. Again, I used "Teeny Tiny Wishes" for the sentiment. Everything used to make both of these cards is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings Earthlings (MMTPT157)
The cards for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge will be going to kids through Hugs and Hope. We got numbers based on our post in a special thread. Those numbers correspond to a child on the list. My card will be going to Katie. When I made this card, I kind of had a little boy in mind, but I think Katie will like it, too. We were to use green, yellow and blue, so I stamped images from "Make a Monster" on Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point. I thought they look like aliens, so I made a flying saucer with oval punches and red and silver glass mix beads. The sentiment is from "Goblin Greetings". I colored in their teeth with White Gel Pen and added googley eyes. The dsp is from Just Add Cake DSP. Everything used to make this card came from Stampin' Up! except the googley eyes. Thanks for stopping by!!

The Party's Over (CAS129, TLC336)
The Clean & Simple Challenge is to make a belated birthday card, and the Technique Lover's Challenge is to stamp the sentiment over the main image. I tried to make it look like the balloons were falling to the floor where there's a mess of confetti. It looks like I missed the party! LOL! I cut out that confetti from used tissue papers years ago for some scrap book pages. I saved the leftovers in a baggie. I still have a lot left. The balloons are from "Crazy for Cupcakes" and the sentiment is from the new hostess set, "Happiest Birthday Greetings." I water colored the balloons before stamping the sentiment. The card stocks are Whisper White and Daffodil Delight. Everything except the home made confetti is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!
