Feather in Her Bonnet (CAS222)
The Clean & Simple Challenge on SCS today is to use a feather on your card. I love this Emersen Girl image and thought I'd just add a feather to her pretty hat. It took me a while to find my package of feathers, though! I colored with Copics and added amber gems. I had a smaller gem in her earring, but it fell off before I photographed the card. It's there now. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Thankful Thoughts (TSC0517, WT427)
The Twisted Sistahs Challenge is to make a card with flowers and a ribbon, and the Ways To Use It Challenge is to use flowers, too. Mother's Day was on Sunday and my birthday is today, so my daughter in California sent me two gifts this week. One of them was wrapped in floral wrapping paper, and I thought it would be nice to make her a Thank You card with it! I put it on a 5 X 7 blank card which is from a box of 40 that I got six years ago, I added a bow and a punched out sentiment. That's it! Thanks for stopping by!

Cute as a Button (IC388)
I found inspiration in the "Cute as a Button" favor. I loved the pastel polka dots and the button. I kept mine clean and simple using Very Vanilla for the base card and DCWV Nana's Kids card stock pad for the polka dots. The ribbon is Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, and I used "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set along with the coordinating Framelit. Nice and quick! Thanks for stopping by!
Birthday Ellie (SC435, TSC0510)
I used this week's Sketch Challenge and made this card for the Twisted Sistahs Challenge which is to make a birthday card with balloons on it. The image is from Paper Cupcakes. It's called "Birthday Wishes". I used Yoyo Yellow for the base card. I'm surprised I still have any of that. I also used an unknown plaid dp and unknown floral dp (20 years old 8-1/2" X 11"). I used the Itty Bitty Banners set for the sentiment and the coordinating Framelits. I colored the image with Copics and added three Ice Square Brads. Thanks for stopping by!!

Modern Mix (MIX14, TSC0503)
This is for two challenges. First, the Twisted Sistahs Challenge, presented by Irishgreensue, is to make a Father's Day card but make it out of the realm of ordinary. I just didn't know what to do for that, so I looked into the Mix-Ability Challenge which I've never tried before. Biggan presented it this week and asked us to do some "Modern Art". I used the Ink, Spray, Smash technique. I forgot about the water though. I used Glossy White card stock and three re-inkers, Summer Starfruit, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. I added the stamped pine cone from "Lovely as a Tree" and then some gold Stickles. That's it for my modern art. The sentiment is from "Feeling Sentimental" (2013 SAB). The inside sentiment is "Happy Father's Day". Thanks for stopping by!!

Frontier (WT425)
For the Ways To Use It Challenge, we're celebrating the Kentucky Derby by getting out those horse stamps. This one is SU!'s Horse Frontier. That sentiment may very well be true. I stamped on Naturals Ivory with Timber Brown Stazon (SU! used sell that) and cut out the image with an Ovals Framelit and then sponged with Cajun Craze. The sentiment was punched with the Decorative Label Punch and also sponged. The base card is Cajun Craze and I used retired DSP. The brads are Metallic Brads. Everything is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Old and New (SC434)
This is for the Sketch Challenge on SCS. The old is the DSP and the colors of Pretty In Pink (ribbon) and Regal Rose (card stock and ink) which will retire at the end of the month. The new is the sentiment from "Label Love" and the new Artisan Label Punch which matches the set. Another old item is the "Eyelet Texturez Plate" that I used for embossing the white panel. The base card, frame and ink are Regal Rose. This was fun to make. The butterfly was added because I have a 2-1/2 year old foster child that kept saying "buh-er-fwy" while he watched me put the card together. I just had to punch and sponge a butterfly and add it for him! Thanks for stopping by!
