I had my Stamp Camp yesterday, so I was really busy, but I managed to make my card this morning for the Twisted Sistahs Challenge. wannabcre8tive was our presenter this week. Shirley gave us a theme, "It's all about paper." She said we could interpret that however we like. Well, I got this image from Shirley for my birthday a couple of years ago. It's called, "Bear-ied in Paperwork". I also used some Newsprint DSP from Stampin' Up! The background is recycled packing paper that we get with our Stampin' Up! orders. I cut a piece to size and embossed it with the Stripes Impressions Folder from SU! It's all matted on Basic Black, and the base card is also Basic Black. The image was stamped on Very Vanilla and colored with SU! Markers. I added three black brads to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by!

2012 January Stamp Camp

Here's what I've been doing the past few days. I've been designing my Stamp Camp cards. Now, all I have to do is cut, score, die cut and punch everything!

Project #1 is a simple Valentine card. We'll use a Sale-A-Bration set and Real Red Ink, base card and Satin Ribbon. The Whisper White layer is punched with the Scallop Border Punch.

Project #2 is another Valentine using the embedding and embossing technique. The hearts were punched with the Heart to Heart Punch using Pink Pirouette, Pretty In Pink and Melon Mambo card stocks. Then, the punched hearts were adhered to the Whisper White panel and the whole thing was embossed with the Square Lattice folder. The sentiment is from a Sale-A-Bration set.

Project #3 is a birthday card using a Sale-A-Bration set. I thought this could be for a male or female. The colors are Lucky Limeade and Basic Black card stocks plus DSP. The stamp set coordinates with the Curly Label Punch.

Project #4 is a simple sympathy card using "Apothecary Art" and Labels Framelits. The colors are Pool Party and Whisper White. The flowers were colored with Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral Markers. The ribbon is the coordinating Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon.

Project #5 is the card I made on Monday. I thought everyone would enjoy trying that technique where we use a brayer to ink up the embossing folder and then emboss. More details about this card may be found here.

Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!! It is now the year of the Dragon! I sent my son and daughter-in-law my Asian card that I made a week or so ago. My daughter-in-law is Chinese. Anyway, back to the challenges!!

This is for two challenges: The Technique Lovers Challenge is for us to be inspired by Belleek pottery. The way in which we were to do that was to choose and embossing folder with negative spaces, ink it up and emboss. I used the Vintage Wallpaper folder and my brayer, using Sahara Sand ink to ink up the folder. It turned out pretty cool, I think. The Clean and Simple Challenge was a color challenge. We were to use Pink, White and Certainly Celery. I used the "Love & Sympathy" set, colored the flower image with Pretty In Pink and Certainly Celery Markers and stamped. Then, I stamped over it with the sentiment in Black Stazon. I used Labels Framelits for the Whisper White panel and then traced around the same one with pencil on Pretty In Pink to create the mat. This week's Featured Stamper is Luv Flowers. Kim and I have exchanged comments on each others cards for some time, and I've always admired her talent. I chose to CASE her SUO Peach Set card. I changed the colors, DSP, stamp set for the main image, sentiment, and I added three tiny flowers on the main image panel. I used "Simply Soft" (hostess) set for the main image. It's a two-step stamping set, and I don't do well with those unless they're wood mounted, but I tried. I stamped my image too low on the panel, so I added those three punched/embossed flowers. I used "Sincere Salutations" for the sentiment which Kim used also, but I used a different stamp. The colors are Melon Mambo and Whisper White. This one is for the Twisted Sistahs Challenge. Marleygo presented the challenge this week. Lesley asked us to make a card with a floral background for our BFF. I don't really have just one BFF. I have several online friends that mean as much to me as anyone. I have a few friends from church whose friendships I really cherish. This card will go to one of them. I used Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, Poppy Parade and Whisper White card stocks along with Cheerful Treat DSP (hostess). The sentiment is from "Full of Life" and I colored the stamp with Concord Crush, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz Markers before huffing and stamping. I was kind of busy yesterday, so I'm posting my Friday Challenge cards today and hope to have time to do a Saturday challenge later. This is for two challenges. First, the Free 4 All Challenge is called, "Have a Heart", and we were to have at least two hearts on our projects. The other challenge is the Queen For The Day challenge. Our queen this week is Lisa Lara. I have admired her work for some time. I chose to CASE her "Got Cake?" card. She was CASEing Roxie, but she changed the layout a bit and the image. This card covers three challenges. First, the CCEE Stampers Challenge is celebrating Chinese New Year, and we were to use either a dragon (because this is the year of the dragon) or use the Chinese Zodiac sign for the year we were born. I was born in the year of the pig, but I don't have any pig images, so I found one online. Piglet!! He's a cutie! I thought the "Thinking of You" sentiment from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" went so well with his look! The Ways to Use It Challenge is called, "Sew Beautiful", and we were to either use stitching, faux stitching or images having to do with sewing. I got out my sewing machine and stitched on this card. This is for this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS. I've been wanting to try to make one of those butterflies with the new Blossom Punch and "Mixed Bunch" stamp set. The color combo came from the "Twitterpated" DSP. I used Lucky Limeade, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and the Twitterpated DSP. The sentiment is from "Loving Thoughts" stamp set and the ribbon is Lucky Limeade and is part of the SAB Ribbon and Brad Bundle. The Color Challenge for this week is to use Pretty In Pink, Pink Pirouette and Rose Red. I used Pink Pirouette for the base card, Whisper White for the punched border and the main panel, and Pretty In Pink for the sentiment strip. I colored with markers and used Rose Red in the flower centers. I messed up on my stamping, so I colored a few more flowers from the bad piece, cut it out and added to the side of the panel. I used Rhinestone Brads at the top and bottom. That die cut main panel was popped up on Dimensionals. I love the Edgelits and Framelits dies! This is for two challenges. The Clean and Simple Challenge was a sketch by Loll Thompson. Her card was called "Fall Colors". The Technique Lovers Challenge was called "Twine It". I Twined it! Imagine a rectangular planter box with rope around it. That's the look I was going for! LOL! The card stocks are Always Artichoke, Naturals White and Not Quite Navy. The inks are More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke. Instead of sponging all three blocks, the bottom one is card stock with the Naturals Hemp Twine wrapped around it several times. Our Featured Stamper this week is Holstein. I feel like I know Linda because she always participates in the Teapot Tuesday Challenge, and we comment on each other's cards. I chose to CASE her "Bling" card. I used different ribbon (Hers was gorgeous, by the way!), I eliminated a layer or two, I used different stamps, and I punched the hearts because I don't have a stamp like hers. The Ways To Use It Challenge is actually presented on Thursdays, but I'm sure it's OK if I'm a couple of days late. They say there's no time limit for the challenges on SCS. This challenge, "Stuck On Me", was to use stickers. This is the type of card I used to make before I started using stamps and then got into Stampin' Up! products. This is just a 4.25" square card which is Pretty In Pink with a scored frame. That Simply Scored tool is so wonderful! Anyway, I had these stickers from 2005 from the Dollar Store. I was worried they'd be difficult to peel off the sheet since they're so old, but I didn't have any trouble. I adhered each one to Whisper White and then cut it out. There's a challenge on SCS called, "Free 4 All". It's on Fridays. I've done a few cards for that challenge but haven't for a long time. I felt the theme of today's challenge was kind of cute, so I just had to try it. It's called "Fickle Valentine." We were to make a Valentine with something warm and something cold on it. Well, have you ever touched a frog? They're cold and slippery! LOL! I bet they're all warm inside when they're in love though! Everything is from Stampin' Up! except for the main image. I used Melon Mambo and Whisper White with Cheerful Treat DSP. I colored her with SU! Markers: Lucky Limeade, Bashful Blue and Melon Mambo. This week's Queen For The Day is jaydekay. Judy is a fantastic stamper. In fact, I think I have one of her cards because I was "tickled" by a teapotter, and she drew me!! I chose to CASE her tea party card, "Non Blue Bird!" I changed the colors and papers, and I die cut the rooster instead of stamping. I also used Hemp Twine instead of Linen Thread but wish I hadn't. Hers looks so much better! I was going to give my son a different card for his birthday next week, but I think I'll give him this one!! The papers are Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Naturals Ivory and unknown paper from 2001. The rooster was done with scraps. This is for the Sketch Challenge on SCS. I like it because it's so clean. That's my style, I guess. I used Island Indigo for the base card with a layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Tulip Frame folder. The DSP is "Twitterpated", and I used "Full of Life" and "Pocket Silhouettes" stamp sets. The ink is Island Indigo and Black Stazon. This is for two challenges. First, the Color Challenge on SCS is to use Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze. I wasn't sure how I was going to get the red in there, so I used it for the base card. I sure do like the Blushing Bride and Baja Breeze together! This is also for the SUO Challenge. Their challenge was to use a technique that we don't ordinarily use. I hardly ever do paper piercing anymore, so I did that, and I don't do much two-step stamping. I'm not good at it with the clear stamps. When I use the wood mounted stamps with the Stamp-a-ma-jig, I'm much more successful. I'll have to remember to buy all two-step stamps sets in wood! The set I used for this was "Simply Soft" which is a hostess set that I really like. I added Baja Breeze Ribbon Seam Binding with a Rhinestone Brad made into a "Mary Brown" bow! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge is a "Ways to use It" type challenge, and we are to use die cuts. I used the Scallop Heart Embosslit and the Hearts Collection Framelits. The Real Red heart was made with the Embosslit. The other two were stamped with "Take It To Heart" stamp set and die cut with the two smallest Heart Framelits. They were also popped up with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from "Short & Sweet" which is my all time favorite little sentiment set. I also used my Simply Scored Scoring Board to emboss two lines to form a frame of sorts. The base card is Real Read and I used Whisper White for the main panel. I did another CASE of one of Wendy's cards. This one was inspired by her Stars & Stripes for Dan. The main change I made was to shrink it down to a 4.25" square card. That meant that I used a smaller punch for the sentiment and didn't use the big stars with the button and baker's twine. I also used different colors and DSP. This week's Queen for the Day is Wendybell. Wendy is very talented. I was able to meet her in person when I went to the Stampin' Up! Convention in 2008. In fact, several of us had dinner at her house, and I was able to go downstairs to see her fabulous craft room that has been featured in Stampin' Success magazine. I chose to CASE **Wendy's Favorite**. I have everything she used to make that card, so I was tempted to CASE it exactly like hers, but the rules are generally that you have to change at least two things. I changed the colors, designer paper, ribbon, flower center, stamps, and I stamped and punched the flower instead of die cutting. The stamp set is "Mixed Bunch" and I used the coordinating Blossom Punch. These are in the new Occasions Mini. The brad in the center is from the SAB Ribbon and Brads Bundle. The DSP is "Cheerful Treat" which is a hostess item. The colors I used are Concord Crush, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White. The sentiment is from "Tagtastic" which is also a hostess item. Hearts & Flowers in Teal (MMTPT179)

This is for the Teapot Tuesday challenge. The lady who will receive this card likes hearts, flowers, angels and the color teal. I used Island Indigo and Whisper White. The vertical panel is embossed with hearts, and I used water color pencils to color the flowers, blending with a Blender Pen and a bit of baby oil. This card was inspired by the card on the front of the new Occasions Mini. I simplified it a lot, but I still like the outcome. The side was die cut with an Edgelit and embossed with the coordinating Impressions Folder. I just love the look!! The main image is from Apothecary Art and the coordinating Framelit was used to die cut the piece. I also used an Edgelit to cut the scallop border on both sides of the white vertical panel. Edgelits & Framelits Storage

I'm in the middle of making a card, but I received an email through one of my Yahoo Groups about storing Edgelits and Framelits. The lady who sent the email stores hers in the plastic stamp cases. That's a wonderful idea, but I like to utilize the pouch they came in. Here's what I've been using for my metal dies. You go to a hardware store such as Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a package of Magnetic Vent Covers. They come three to a package. I cut mine into 5" X 6" pieces to fit into the original vinyl package that the dies came in from Stampin' Up! You can get nine of these pieces from one package, so we can have lots more Framelits and Edgelits in the future! Anyway, the metal dies stick to the magnetic pieces. You could still use the stamp cases if you want (I'm not sure about the cutting size for those), but I sure like the vinyl pouch that we get from SU! when we order the dies. It's much thinner for easier storage. You will have three 2" X 5" pieces of the magnetic sheets left over. These would be good for making lightweight refrigerator magnets or something like that. The Clean and Simple challenge for this week is called, "Beverages". I have an appointment and only had about an hour to make a card, photograph it, and get it online here and in the SCS Gallery. This card might be called "EXTREME CAS" because it's a one-layer card with the tea cup and sentiment from "Tea Shoppe". All I did was add ribbon and a bow! Our Twisted Sistahs challenge for the week was presented by Tater. She asked us to make a card that represents the good things about winter. She said we'd get bonus points if we included a cardinal. I used up some Real Red scraps to make the little punch art cardinal. I also used some Basic Black and More Mustard. The card itself is Real Red and Whisper White with the white layer embossed with the Northern Flurry Impressions Folder. The sentiment is from "A Cardinal Christmas". This was a Clean & Simple card to make as well. The best part about winter is the snow; however, we've had none so far this winter. They say we'll get our first snowfall in two to three weeks. Well, I haven't posted anything on this blog for a week. I'm going to try to do better this year. Call it a New Year's Resolution! Our Christmas Dinner and family get-together was on Thursday, December 29th. It was a wonderful party! My daughter and her family came from California, my oldest son and his kids were here from Sparks, my daughter from Reno was here with her family, and my youngest daughter was here with her boyfriend (fiance'???) and my grand daughter that I babysit a lot. All together, there were 19 of us here!! We played games on the Wii and board games, too. My oldest daughter brought Dance 3 for the Wii and we all had a blast trying to keep up with the dance moves. We were able to dance four at a time. Even little Maddie danced to the music!! Anyway, I'm having a little trouble with my back and neck, so I'm not going to church today. I'm going to go make a couple of cards. I'll start the new year off right and post to my blog, too!! See ya later!!

I didn't like the card I did for the Clean & Simple Challenge, so I'm not posting it here. I haven't done a Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge in ages, so I tried that one and like this card better. For this sketch, we were to do a round or a square card. I went with 4.25" square. I even sewed on this one! I guess you can see why I don't usually do that! LOL! The sentiment is from Inkadinkado Expressions. Everything else is from Stampin' Up! The base card is So Saffron and I used some old SAB DSP as well as Pawsitively Prints DSP. These were in my scraps. I used the retired stripe ribbon and a Paper Daisy with an SU! button. I also used Naturals White card stock for one layer plus the main image panel. There's some DSP inside for embellishment and the other DSP is on the envelope that I made into a square envelope for this card. Thanks for stopping by!!

I've done some CASEing this weekend! This week's Featured Stamper is Chupa. Her real name is Iwona Palamountain. Her real name AND her screen name are both interesting to me. This lady has more talent in her little finger than I have in my whole body!! I can't figure out why she hasn't been the featured stamper before now. Anyway, I spent a lot of time in her gallery and finally chose to CASE her "Monochromatic Thanks" card. I used products from the new Occasions Mini which will be available on January 4, 2012. The DSP is Twitterpated, and my color combo came from that. The card stocks are Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Naturals White and Whisper White. I used Black Stazon for the main image and colored with Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride and Ridinghood Red Markers. I used Crocheted Lace and Island Indigo Ribbon. I didn't use a button or string but used a Rhinestone Brad instead. Instead of a paper doily, I used the new Sizzlit Paper Doily and die cut mine. Instead of punching the butterflies, I die cut them using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I sure like how this turned out. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! The Queen for the Day for this week is barbaradwyer82. It took me a long time browsing through Barbara's gallery to decide which card I wanted to CASE. I finally decided to CASE her Valentine with nesties card. I used a different shade of red, changed the layout slightly, used different embossing folder and punches, and I used the new Hearts Framelits from Stampin' Up! plus the "Take it to Heart" stamp set. The Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week is to make a card that represents one of our family traditions for Christmas Eve. We also have to have a Rub-on on the card.

Some people leave milk and cookies out for Santa or food to feed the reindeer. Others, go to Christmas Eve services at church. I like the candlelight services. We like to have some hot cocoa when we get home from church. We especially like the flavored kind you get around the holidays at CostCo, and we like plenty of whipped cream floating on top!!

I used Poppy Parade for the base card with a layer of Pawsitively Prints DSP. I used nesties for the oval and scalloped oval out of Whisper White and So Saffron. The cup and the word, "cocoa" were die cut from Poppy Parade using the Cup of Cocoa Sizzlit. I used Liquid Applique and heated it with the heat tool to make it fluffy for the whipped cream. The only stamping was for the inside sentiment. Oh, and the "steam" is a rub-on from "Seasonal Sayings" which was part of a hostess bundle a couple of years ago. Thanks for stopping by!

Wow! I haven't done a Color Challenge in a while! In fact, I haven't made a card in a week! Well, the holidays are here and everyone's so busy anyway. I'm sure you all can relate. This challenge was to use Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral. It's a nice break away from Christmas colors. The base card is Wisteria Wonder with a Whisper White die cut piece (SU!'s Top Note die). The vine (Fanciful Flourish) is Lucky Limeade and the punched/embossed flowers are Calypso Coral. The sentiment and hummingbird (SU!'s Elements of Style) were stamped with Wisteria Wonder ink. The hummingbird was cut out and popped up with a Dimensional and Basic Pearls were used for the flower centers. Thanks for stopping by!!

The Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week was presented by Sillyfilly. Sylvia asked us to make an all white Christmas card. One other color was allowed, but we were to keep it to a minimum. Also, we were to have at least three layers. I used white card stock from WalMart for everything. Layer #2 was die cut with a scallop square Spellbinders Nestie, Layer #3 was embossed with the Cuttlebug Distressed Snowflakes folder, and the sentiment from "Season of Joy" was heat embossed with Silver EP. The two extra snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart Punch and popped up. In fact, each layer was popped up on Dimensionals. The Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week was presented by 101airborne. Kathy asked us to make a project (card, tag, etc.) with a Christmas theme and make it SPARKLE. As you can see, I made a tag. I die cut some thick cardboard backing, covered it with die cut DSP and added white to the backside for stamping "To: From:" and writing on it. I made it a chipboard tag for the CCEE Stampers Challenge. The DSP has glitter polka dots, and I used a Rhinestone Brad in the bow. This week's Queen For The Day is nancy littrell. Nancy has a wonderful gallery full of cards made with Stampin' Up! products. I chose to CASE this card. I used different colors, stamp and punches. Finally, this is the last of the four boxes I needed to make for December. All together, I've made 16 tissue box covers this year!! All of the Secret sisters at my church will have received one of these for their birthdays. This lady said, on her information sheet, that one of her bathrooms was pink/country. I used the pump image from "Countryside" on each side because I thought that was a good country image. I used Blushing Bride and Whisper White card stock along with some gingham dp. Well, this is #3 of the final 4 tissue box covers for the secret sisters at my church. I only have one more to go, and her birthday isn't until December 25th, a Christmas birthday! This one is for a good friend of mine, too. She said her bathroom colors were pretty much blue and yellow. I didn't know what shade of blue, but I thought Bashful Blue would work. The flowers on the sides are from "Fast & Fabulous", a retired hostess set that I really like. The flower on the top was die cut with the Flower, Daisy Sizzlit. This week's Clean & Simple Challenge is a ways to use it type challenge. We were to use twine on our cards. I used White Baker's Twine to sew the "snowflakes" onto the panel. I stamped the snowball and birdie from "Snow Much Fun" and stamped the snowball again, cut it out and popped it up. I hand-wrote the sentiment on the Levi tag. This card was made from scraps. The base card is Naturals White, and I used Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White card stocks as well. The card is 4.25" square and I made the envelope to fit. December 2011 Club Projects

We did an easel card with a calendar on it last year, and everyone loved them. I like to send these as a New Year's greeting. The calendar can sit on people's desks all year. I used "Sense of Time" and stamped the clockwork gears all over the front panel before adding the matted clock. The second hand clock was stamped again, punched out and popped up with a Dimensional. The card stocks are Naturals Ivory and Real Red.

This week's challenge for our Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group is to make a gift card holder. I made a regular A2 card using Bravo Burgundy for the base and mat and Whisper White for the embossed background and main image panel. I used an SU! Border Punch for one side of the mat. I inked up the "Dasher" stamp with Versamark and then with Bravo Burgundy and stamped it on the Whisper White panel. I embossed it with Clear EP. I added the Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon and would have added Basic Jewels Rhinestones had this been for a female, but it's going to my grandson who is a teenager.
I had this DCWV dp in my stash, and it matches the Bravo Burgundy very well (IRL). I used that to create the actual holder for the gift card. Everything except for the dp came from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas Tags

Here's what I've been doing for the past couple of days in between laundry, cooking, cleaning, babysitting, and taking care of my mom. I've been making tags for our Christmas gift packages. I bought some 3-D stickers at WalMart for $1.50 a package. Each package contained from 5 to 7 stickers. They are made from chip board and have foam dots between layers. I just cut my SU! card stock with various dies or punched out the smaller ones with the Large and Small Tag Punches. I used SU!'s Gold Cord for the ties so I can easily tie them to the bows on my packages. The backs have white paper on them. I recycled the papers that came in my boxes of catalogs. This was a fun project, and I know everyone will enjoy their gifts even more with these home made tags on them. Thanks for stopping by!

This week's Queen for the Day is DawnL. Dawn has lots of beautiful cards in her gallery done with Our Daily Bread Designs products. I happen to have some of the same stamps because I won a $15 prize, plus a wonderful online friend gave me a gift certificate for ODBD. I CASEd her SC323 This is the Day card. I used the same stamps and Spellbinders die, but I changed the layout so that it wouldn't be the same as the sketch, and I changed the orientation. She used Copics to color her daffodils, but I used Water Color Pencils and a Blender Pen with baby oil. I stamped the frame with Pretty In Pink and sponged the outside of the die cut piece with Barely Banana (retired). I used the same MS punches, but I also used SU!'s Scallop Border Punch on the Whisper White piece (second piece in the layered strip). For this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge, we will be sending cards to a man in Canada who was in a motorcycle accident that left him a quadriplegic. Although he will never ride again, he still loves motorcycles. I used Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black and Whisper White card stocks along with a piece of silver metal sheet which I embossed with the CB Diamond Plate EF. I punched the gears out of Brushed Silver card stock with the Gear Punch. The image is SU!'s "Motorcycle" single stamp, and it was stamped with Black Stazon and colored with Tempting Turquoise Marker and Silver Zig Painty. The Clean and Simple challenge is a Christmas/Winter theme. The Late Night Stampers (Yahoo Group) challenge is Non-Traditional colors on a Christmas card. I used the Designer Frames Impressions Folder on Whisper White to create the frame. I matted the white panel on Basic Black and the base card is Pool Party. I used "Pennant Parade" for the tree using Pool Party ink and punched it out with the Pennant Punch. It's popped up with a Dimensional over the little pot that was stamped with Black Stazon. The sentiment, also from "Pennant Parade", was stamped with Pool Party ink and punched out with the Tiny Tags Punch. I used a Basic Jewels Rhinestone on the end of the tag for a tree topper. Well, I did last week's Queen for the Day Challenge, so now I'm doing this week's. Our queen for this week is BobbiesGirl. Carol has a lot of very artsy cards in her beautiful gallery, and I chose to CASE this one. If you clicked on the link, you'll know what I mean about artsy. Mine is kind of plain after you look at her beautiful card. Her pressed flowers are just gorgeous. I used Naturals Ivory for the base card and the Top Note. I sponged the Top Note with Chocolate Chip. I used the Beautiful Wings Sizzlit and cut the butterfly out of Tangerine Tango and then sponge it with Chocolate Chip as well. The flowers are from Simply Soft, the ribbon is 1/8" Vanilla and the pearl on the butterfly is from the Basic Pearls collection. The Top Note is popped up on Dimensionals. Last week's Queen for the Day was Karen B. Barber. Now, Karen is my stampin' hero, so I couldn't let the chance pass me by to CASE one of her beautiful cards. I know I'm over a week late, and she's already passed on her crown, but I've been trying to get to this all week, but babysitting a toddler can cramp your style sometimes. Anyway, HERE is Karen's card that I CASEd. I just changed the colors, embossing folder and the sentiment (same set though). Also, I don't have a circle die, so I used my Coluzzle. I do have the Scallop Circle Die though. This card is 5-1/8" square. The base and embossed circle are Blushing Bride. The square embossed panel is Very Vanilla. I used the Petals-a-Plenty folder to emboss both panels. The scallop circle is Pear Pizzazz. I used Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz ink pads and Markers. This is for the SUO Challenge (Stampin' Up! Only). The challenge is called "Thankful", and we were to make a card to express our thankfulness for anything or anyone. I have a friend who has been very supportive during some trying times, so I will send this card to her. I went out of my comfort zone with this color combo which I found on the Baja Breeze card in my Color Coach. Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler and More Mustard; interesting. I used Cherry Cobbler for the base card and for the ink for the sentiment from "Perfect Punches". The DSP is from the retired Greenhouse Gala. I used "Fabulous Florets" for the flowers and leaves because they look very similar to the flowers on the DSP. I stamped with More Mustard and cut them out. The sentiment panel was punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch and the die cut piece behind it was done with the Lots Of Tags Label 2 Sizzlit. I used several Dimensionals to pop up everything and made a "Mary Brown" bow with Baja Breeze Ribbon Seam Binding using a Round Ice Brad. I think I should have stamped the sentiment with Baja Breeze and used Cherry Cobbler for the die cut piece. Maybe next time. Thanks for stopping by!!

November 2011 Stamp Camp

I surfed the net to get ideas for my next stamp camp which is going to be on Friday. I have to get busy! This is a CASE of Erica Cerwin's lovely "Oldie but a Goodie" (Color combo) card. I just loved this design! I used Naturals White for the base card with a layer of Brights DSP (Pacific Point). Then I used Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Pacific Point for the squares and circles. The snowflakes were stamped with Pacific Point ink and are from "Every Little Bit". I wrapped Silver Cord around twice and tied it in a bow. Thanks, Erica, for the inspiration!! Oh, I will add the rest of the Stamp Camp projects as I get to them.

This card is made with traditional Christmas colors of Glorious Green (retired), Real Red and Whisper White. The center package is from last year's Christmas Specialty Paper. I punched out the packages with a 1-1/4" Square Punch and then trimmed off about 1/8" off the bottom. I also embossed the red and the green packages with the new Stripes EF. The Snowburst EF was used for the background layer. The bows were made with the Triple Layer Blossoms Punch out of Brushed Gold card stock. The tree is from "Season of Joy". Everything except the Nesties is from Stampin' Up!

I used Baja Breeze for the base card and scallop oval. The background layer is Crumb Cake stamped with Chocolate Chip using the Woodgrain background stamp. The main image and sentiment panels are Naturals Ivory. The image from "Tidings of Joy" was stamped with Black Stazon and water colored with the Crayons and Aqua Painter. The ribbon is Baja Breeze 1/8" Ribbon. Again, everything except the Nesties is from Stampin' Up!

This is not a card, but it's very simple. I used recycled packing paper from my SU! orders, straightened it out (ironed some of it), and then I cut it to 7" X 9" pieces to wrap a package of popcorn. I saw something like this from someone in my Yahoo Group. Hers was more detailed. I cut some DSP to 2" X 9" strips and then some Whisper White to 3-1/2" X 9" strips. I punched the white with the Eyelet Border Punch, added the DSP strip to the punched white strip and wrapped them around the bag. I used the "Got Merry?" gingerbread man from "Got Treats" and colored him with markers before stamping on white. I punched that out with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and die cut the scalloped circle out of Real Red. Everything used here except the Scallop Circle Nestie came from Stampin' Up!

What is Thanksgiving without pumpkins? We'd have no Pumpkin Pie, no Pumpkin Bread, no Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars, no Pumpkin Pecan Cake, and the list goes on! I was just notified this morning by email that one of our SCS friends is having some health issues with her hands. This lady was one of the first people I ever communicated with on SCS, and she was very kind to me as I was a newbie back then. We were asked to just get a card out of our stash to send it to her for encouragement and Get Well Wishes. I just didn't think I had an appropriate card in my stash, so I made this one. It was quick to make. The Lavender Lace oval was already cut because I had cut out a hole in a tissue box cover and kept the cut out piece. I just had to cut out the scallop oval. I embossed the "Praying Hands" (unknown origin, possibly Dollar Tree) image with Gold Embossing Powder. The background paper was in my stash. I think it came from WalMart several years ago in a big tablet I got from my kids for Christmas. The base card is Naturals White. The flowers are from Shabby Chic and came from Dollar Tree. I like this week's Sketch Challenge so much that I might use it for my stamp camp next week. I tried to follow Jojot's sample fairly closely. My oval is larger and my sentiment smaller, but I did the paper piercing and used the same border punch. I had something else in mind for my ribbon treatment, but it didn't work out, so I just crossed the ribbon ends and taped them down. The base card is Marina Mist with an embossed layer of Whisper White. The DSP is Frostwood Lodge from the Holiday Mini. The bear is from "Polar Party" and the sentiment is from "Short & Sweet". We were to bring cats and/or bling to this tea party. This stamp was given to me a long time ago, and I don't know the name of it. It was in a CD case with a couple of other kitties and the sentiment shown. This is a 5-3/8" square card. I just have four more birthdays of secret sisters this year. They're all next month. This is the first of my final four tissue box covers. I've been making them for all of the secret sisters in our program at church. I'm the Secret Angel, so I am the only one who knows who they all are. I had to combine challenges, but at least I made a card. The Teapot Tuesday Challenge was to make a mosaic and/or use flowers and pearls. I did both. I used this week's sketch for the layout. The "tiles" are 3/4" squares stamped with "Tiny Tags" flowers. The center rectangle was embossed with Tiny Mosaics CB EF. I added Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon for the horizontal strip. November 2011 Club Projects

The two projects that we will be making this Thursday are fall cards. First, we will make an easel card using the "Warmest of Wishes" wreath and a retired sentiment. The wreath was colored with Markers, sponged and popped up on Dimensionals. The sentiment panel is also popped up to hold up the easel. The Well Worn DSP was used for a background for the wreath. This is a very simple card because the next project will take more time.
Our other project uses Well Worn DSP again. We will color with Water Color Wonder Crayons and Aqua Painters. I CASEd this idea from Karen B. Barber who is my stampin' hero. Her card is here. I did the sentiment panel slightly different, used a different button, no distressing and no faux stitching. I also used raffia instead of ribbon and Soft Suede instead of Early Espresso. The Crazy 4 Challenges challenge is to make a clean and simple card for fall, and the CCEE Stampers Challenge is to make a fall card, too. I chose to go with a Halloween theme. This took no time at all to make, too. I just scored a frame with my Simply Scored board, added the paper rick-rack, die cut Frank and stamped the sentiment from "Smarty Pants". Consider this one to be Friday's post since I'm not sure I'll get to post again for a while. I always do the Twisted Sistahs Challenge though, especially since this week, I presented it!!! I asked everyone to follow the sketch I found on PageMaps.com. It's the horizontal sketch at the bottom right with the birdie on it. I told them they didn't have to use a birdie though. I used a die cut candy cane with holly. It's a Sizzlit I haven't used yet. I embossed the top Real Red portion with the "Petals-a-Plenty" folder from last year. The bottom is DSP from last year which I thought went well with my die cut piece. The sentiment is from "All Holidays" and is stamped with Real Red ink. I used the Real Red Marker on the candy cane. I ran that Sizzlit through the Big Shot three times to get the white, red and green pieces. The final touch is the Real Red Satin Ribbon tied into a bow. Thanks again for stopping by!!!

Stamp Camp Projects for October 2011

Stamp Camp is next Friday. I wanted to feature punches this time. Project #1 is a Punch Art Santa that one of the ladies in my Yahoo Group did to top off treat bags. I thought it was such a cute idea that I wanted to make it into a card. I'm also featuring the "Snow Burst" embossing folder, so you'll see that on three of the five projects.
Project #2 is featuring the "Stitched Stocking" set and coordinating punch. Here's that embossing folder again!
Project #3 is the only one without embossing. I used the "Pennant Parade" set and coordinating punch for the tree. I also used punches for the sentiment panel. The DSP with mittens all over is from last year.
Project #4 is an easel card with that embossing folder again. The snowman from "Snow Much Fun" was stamped, colored with markers and cut out. The snowflakes that hold the easel up were punched with the Doily Triple Layer Punch.
For Project #5, I used the "Bag with Scallops" die and embossed the front and back with the "Petals-a-plenty" folder. The ornament was stamped with "Delightful Decorations" and punched out with the Ornament Punch. I thought the "bag" could be filled with candy or bath salts or even tiny gifts like the necklace I'm giving to one of my daughters for Christmas. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Our Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week was presented by Sillyfilly. Sylvia asked us to make a fall card with something metallic on it. I used retired Pumpkin Pie brads on mine. The image is from "Greeting Card Kids" and the leaves are from "Lovely as a Tree". I used Water Color Crayons and an Aqua Painter to water color the main image. The base is Pumpkin Pie, the main image was stamped on Naturals Ivory with Black Stazon, and the leaves were stamped on More Mustard with Early Espresso ink. The mat behind the main image is also Early Espresso. The DSP is retired and so is the Felt Ribbon. I used the Pinked Hearts Border Punch on one side of the main image panel. I know I haven't been posting a lot lately, but I'm care giver for my 96 year old mother with Alzheimer's. She was in the hospital last week and is not doing so well. 2011 October Club Project #2

Well, I finally got around to completing our second project for tonight's club. My ladies will have options as far as the sentiment goes. They might prefer "Happy Thanksgiving" or "Happy Fall", but I chose to use "Happy Halloween" from "Teeny Tiny Wishes". After all, our other project is the treat bags. There's retired DSP on Chocolate Chip on Naturals Ivory. The pumpkins were made using Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive card stocks. I used the Small and Large Oval Punches as well as the Scribbles Swirls Sizzlit. The leaves were punched with a MS leaf punch. This could have been for this week's Twisted Sistahs Challenge because of the swirls, but that challenge calls for a Thanksgiving card. I'll just make another one with a different sentiment. I put two mini candy bars in each or a sucker and another candy, but I think there's room for more in there. I can only afford two candies per trick-or-treater though!! LOL! Our fearless leader, wannabcre8ive, issued the Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week. Shirley asked us to make a card with any theme using blue, white and gold. I haven't had time to get online as much lately, but the TSC is so dear to my heart that I try not to miss it. The base card is Night of Navy with a Whisper White layer. The words to "Joy to the World" are in the shape of the star in the "The Sounding Joy" stamp set. The star was stamped with Night of Navy and "Joy" was stamped with Versamark and embossed with Gold EP. I just added gold half pearls in the corners of the clean and simple card. Everything came from Stampin' Up! except the pearls. When I have time, I'll post the other project for next week's club. Oh, and this is very similar to a card we made for the last stamp camp, too. October 2011 Club Project

On page 5 of the Holiday Mini Catalog, there's a hostess set that includes this trick-or-treating owl. Also on that page, are little brown treat bags kind of like this with the punched owl and yellow moon. Monika Davis (no relation) is in one of the Yahoo Groups I'm in, and she made these too. She used the paper that comes in the boxes with our Stampin' Up! orders. Now, that's recycling recycled paper! Talk about being green!! Here's the link to her blog post. I decided to do the same thing. I CASEd her idea to use that paper plus use the Scallop Square Die to make the bags. The excess paper cuttings went into my compost bin. After putting the candy into the bags, I stapled them closed and covered the staple on the backside with my Stampin' Up! Demo label. That way, they know where the candy came from AND that I'm a Stampin' Up! Demo! A little advertising can't hurt!!! I hope to post our other project that we will be making next week by tomorrow. Edit: I've been asked if I ironed the paper to get it smooth. Yes, we cut it into 4 to 5 foot lengths, and then I ironed them. After that, I folded the pieces into thirds and put it through my big table paper cutter, cutting into about 10 inch pieces. I folded those in half and was able to get two cuts with the die which yielded six squares each. Actually, after unfolding, they were rectangles with scallops. I folded those in half matching the scallops and applying adhesive to the two sides. After that, I crimped the two sides, added the punched pieces and then put the candy inside.

Lesley asked us to make a Christmas card with glitter or Stickles representing snow or stars. I used the short snowman from "Snow Much Fun" and water colored him. I added plenty of silver and white Stickles. The base card is Poppy Parade and so is the matting and ribbon. The embossed panel which is embossed with SU!'s newest embossing folder is Whisper White. Recognize the pumpkin? Well, the Clean & Simple Challenge has a theme of "Leaves" today, and I had all the stuff on my table to make a pumpkin with leaves, so I did. The base card (4.25" square) is Naturals Ivory, and I scored it on my new Simply Scored scoring board. I used the Large Oval Punch and Pumpkin Pie card stock (from scraps) to make the pumpkin. I ran some Old Olive (more scraps) through the Big Shot with the Scribbles Swirls Sizzlit, and I punched a couple of leaves with the Martha Stewart Leaf Punch. The pumpkin is popped up on Dimensionals, and the sentiment is 2/$1 stamps from Michael's a few years ago. They didn't say the leaves couldn't be attached to something! LOL! Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge is to use fall colors or fall theme. Everything is from the scrap basket except for the base card which is Tangerine Tango. I also used scraps of Peach Parfait, Basic Black, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeade. For the pumpkin, I used SU!'s Large Oval Punch and sponged with Pumpkin Pie Ink. The vines are from the Scribbles Swirls Sizzlit and the leaves were done with a Martha Stewart Punch. The designer paper is from DCWV Fall Stack. This week's Twisted Sistahs Challenge was presented by Brat Cards. The Brat Girl asked us to make a clean and simple card that has or implies sky by using stars, clouds, etc. Other than the Bashful Blue base card, this was all done with scraps. I used "Loads of Love" for the truck and sentiment, a half inch strip of Old Olive, a fence punched strip of Whisper White, the clouds are also Whisper White and were punched with the Cupcake Builder Punch. The truck was stamped on More Mustard, cut out and popped up on Dimensionals. The wheels and tail light were colored with Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler Markers, and the door handle and hub caps were colored with a Zig-Painty (Silver). September 2011 Stamp Camp Projects

My next Stamp Camp is this coming Friday. The next three Stamp Camps will be all Christmas projects. Project #1 is this Narrow Center Step card. I used both water coloring and coloring with markers on this tall snowman from "Snow Much Fun". The card stocks are Naturals White, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. The punches I used were Modern Label, Scallop Oval and Scallop Dotted Ribbon Border. There are two Basic Pearls on the sentiment panel.Project #2 is a Gift Card Holder. The water colored fox is from "Forest Festivities". The sentiments are stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink. The DSP is retired from a couple of years ago.

Project #3 is a Clean & Simple card. The star is stamped with Concord Crush and the "Joy" is stamped with Versamark and embossed with Silver EP. Both stamps are from "The Sounding Joy". I scored around the square about 1/4" from the edges and added Basic Jewels Rhinestones. The base card is Concord Crush as well.
Project #4 is kind of Clean and Simple except for the water coloring. This image from"Beautiful Season" is stamped on Water Color Paper. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Ribbon Seam Binding and the card stocks are Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.
Our last project (#5) is a Treat Tube Holder (or Test Tube). I used "Deer Friends" hostess set from a couple of years ago that has never been used. They will make two of each project and can use a long and a short test tube for this one. The only candy I had on hand was Yogurt Covered Raisins, so I thought we could add the Snowman Poop poem if we wanted! Thanks for stopping by!!

This should have been done this past Friday, bur I've been kind of busy lately. Our Twisted Sistahs Challenge was presented by patsmethers. Pat gave us a short list for this challenge:

As far as the theme goes, "Travel Dreams", I've always wanted to go to Australia. Now, this might not make sense until you remember that, when it's summer here, it's winter down there. They don't get a lot of snow down there except for places like the Victorian Alps in the southern most portion of the country, and also in Tasmania. So, that's why I did a snowman (from "Snow Much Fun"). I probably would go down there in January or February when it's warmer though. My critters are the birdies, and my twine is made into a bow. There is NO pink here either. The colors are Ballet Blue (retired), Cherry Cobbler and Naturals Ivory. Everything used to make this card is from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Tissue Box Cover Instructions

I went to a Foster Care training for two days (so far), and I have to go for one more day next Saturday in order to get my 27 hours of training before applying for my license. I haven't posted anything since Friday. I have received a couple of requests for instructions for the Tissue Box Cover like I posted on Friday, so I have put the video tutorial found on Splitcoast Stampers on my blog. Please go down to the bottom of this page to find that video tutorial for the Tissue Box Cover.

The last cover I made is embossed with Elegant Lines Impressions Folder on the sides and I cut 4 strips, 1" X 4-1/2", and embossed them with a Cuttlebug Borders Folder. Use a bigger oval Nestie on the lid than the one you use to cut the opening in the 4-1/4" square piece on the top. Embossing that square piece is also nice. Sometimes I make my own flowers to decorate the top, but on my last one, I used flowers that were purchased from Michael's. I also line the insides with more card stock to make it sturdier or I add embossed panels to the outside. I just don't think one layer of card stock is going to last that long. One, more tip: Use Sticky Strip or other strong adhesive to put it together. You don't want to give a gift that will fall apart in a week or so! Here's what I was doing yesterday and this morning besides taking my mother to the Senior Center for Penny Bingo yesterday. It takes a while to cut, score, emboss and decorate all the pieces for these, but it's worth it. This one goes to one of the secret sisters at my church who's having a birthday later this month. Her colors are sage and rose, so I used the retired Sage Shadow card stock. I embossed the sides with Elegant Lines Impressions Folder and the strips around the lid with a Cuttlebug Borders folder. The examples for this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS were with leaves, so I went with the leaves as well. I could see using this sketch with snowflakes, too. The base card is River Rock stamped with "Itty Bitty Backgrounds" (retired) using Cajun Craze ink. The DSP is "Well Worn" and the card stocks for the matting are Cajun Craze, So Saffron and Soft Suede. I stamped leaves from "French Foliage" using So Saffron and rolling the edges on Soft Suede. Christmas Center Step Card

I'm back from California, but I still have a busy day ahead. I made this card with the idea of using it for a stamp camp, but I think it will just have to be for my club. It's a little complicated for stamp camp, I think. Actually, I CASEd this card from this card made by Serenity_Stamper. I liked the idea of the Center Step Card with the "Beautiful Season" stamp set and the fact that she cut the birdie out and popped him up. I changed the color of Soft Suede to Old Olive but still used Cherry Cobbler with it. Instead of ribbon, I used punched pieces using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I had a very busy day yesterday, so there's no new cards to post for Thursday. Today, I managed to do some stamping though. The Twisted Sistahs Challenge for this week was presented by irishgreensue. Greenie asked us to make an easel card in shades of purples and greens with white or ivory. We had to have three layers or more on the front, and Nesties were welcome. I used Rich Razzleberry Textured Card Stock with Whisper White and Pocketful of Posies DSP. The leaves that were die cut were from a scrap of Lucky Limeade and sponged with Early Espresso. The stamped leaves were from "French Foliage." The sentiment over the stamped leaves is from "Grateful Greetings" and the other sentiment is from "Always Thankful." This is also for the CCEE Stampers Challenge which is to make a fall card with something die cut on it. September 2011 Club Projects

I used pretty much the same layout for both cards and kept them clean and simple. The first project is done with Naturals White and Cherry Cobbler card stocks. The base card is scored using the new Simply Scored scoring board which I love. I colored only the stems of the cherries from "Button Buddies" with a marker and then stamped and added the buttons with Mini Glue Dots. The matted panel is popped up with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" and the cherries on the inside and on the envelope are from "Create A Cupcake."
This project is intended to be more masculine. I used Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy and Naturals Ivory card stocks along with Well Worn DSP. I used the "Not So Seriously" stamp set for the image and sentiment and the sentiment, "from the whole muttley crew" on the inside. I stamped with Black Stazon and water colored with Water Color Wonder Crayons and an Aqua Painter. Everything is flat for easy mailing. Everything used to make these cards came from Stampin' Up! This is my Tuesday post (a little early). There were three tea pots this week. One had a big yellah flower, as Mothermark says, another was shaped like a lady bug and one had lots of leaves and ladybugs on it. We were to bring ladybugs to this party. This card has the flower, some leaves and one big lady bug. There's no stamps here. I just used punches: Fancy Flower, 1/4" Circle, 3/4" Circle, 1-3/8" Circle and Blossom Builder. Over at Crazy 4 Challenges, the challenge is to make a masculine card in honor of Father's Day down under. I guess they celebrate Father's Day in the middle of winter down there. I stamped the zebra from "Zoo Review" on Whisper White and matted on Basic Black and Tangerine Tango. The base card is Naturals White and the designer paper is about 15 years old. I had bought it for scrap booking zoo photos. The Basic Black strip was embossed with Tim Holtz' Tree EF. This was a quickie card and is flat for easy mailing. We're at Tuesday's challenge now. For this tea party, we were to bring a bird, a heart, some flowers and a ribbon. I used the Hearts & Brackets Sizzix Die from Stampin' Up! for the heart and the Bird Builder Punch. I also used the 4-petal flower from the Punch Pack and embossed the flowers. Well, let's go back to Monday of this week since I've been kind of busy and haven't had a chance to post. There are two Monday challenges represented here: Clean & Simple and Technique Lovers Challenge. The Clean & Simple Challenge was for us to be inspired by the word, "Hot." I used warm colors, and flip flops which remind me of summer. The Technique Lovers Challenge was to go into our Favorites Folder and find the very first card we uploaded there. Mine was this one by Glittergal which she uploaded in 2004! I changed the theme from winter to summer, changed the colors and I eliminated one panel by coloring, cutting out and popping up the flip flops directly onto the crimped panel. Our Featured Stamper this week is sweetnsassystamps. Korin has a stamp company that is the newest member company at SCS. I chose to CASE her "Blessed to call you friend!" card. I changed the papers and stamps. I didn't use the gold half pearls because I didn't have enough. Instead of stamping and coloring my image, I stamped the pumpkins and gourd from the "Autumn Harvest" (retired) set on Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and Old Olive card stocks and cut them out. The DSP is "Autumn Vine" (retired), and I used Naturals Ivory for the base card with Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Really Rust (retired) for the layers. I just found out that a former club member just lost her sister. I had to make a sympathy card for her. I used Blushing Bride and Whisper White card stocks with the "Thoughts and Prayers" stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black over the greenery which is Wild Wasabi. The die cuts are from Spell Binders, the pearls from Mike's and the ribbon is from Mark's Finest Papers. This is for this week's Sketch Challenge. Now, our TSC for next Friday is to make a Halloween card. I thought that, as long as I'm doing the sketch, I might as well make it a Halloween card, sort of a practice run! I used Old Olive for the base and the vertical strip. The strip was embossed with the Spider Web EF. The DSP is last year's Halloween patterns called Night Owl. Everything is matted with Basic Black. The witch, broom and moon, from "Halloween Hoot" were stamped with Basic Black on Very Vanilla. I masked the moon and sponged. The witches face, hands, hat band as well as the moon were colored with Markers. I used a White Gel Pen for her teeth. The sentiment was stamped on Naturals Ivory and then sponged, then it was punched with the Large Oval Punch with a Scallop Oval punched mat. The sentiment panel is popped up on Dimensionals. I've been MIA all week! Busy, busy; can't wait till summer's over! I'll get back to daily card making again, maybe. Anyway, I couldn't miss the Twisted Sistahs Challenge this week because I am the presenter! I challenged everyone to make a Clean & Simple card, but they had to use Crumb Cake (Kraft), Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Very Vanilla (Ivory). I used a Crumb Cake base card and made my main panel out of Very Vanilla matted on Rich Razzleberry. I die cut the leaves out of Old Olive using the Little Leaves Sizzlit and punched out the flowers using Rich Razzleberry and the four petal flower from the Punch Pack. I embossed the little flowers and added Basic Pearls to the centers. The sentiment from "Swirls & Curls Verses" (hostess) was stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink, and the birdie and musical notes were colored with the Rich Razzleberry Marker. The Featured Stamper for this week is pawallen142. Penny has a beautiful gallery. I chose to CASE this card. I changed the colors, stamps, DSP, and I cut out and popped up the individual flower. My little gardens

I have three 4' X 4' planter boxes now (square foot gardens). In one, there's cucumbers, peppers, a honeydew plant and flowers.

This is my cucumber plant. There's a couple of cucumbers that are over a foot long now. I need to pick them soon.
This is the square foot garden that I made a scrap book page out of. That was before this pumpkin plant took off cascading over the sides of the garden.
This is one of the pumpkins. There will be quite a few. This one is already about 4" in diameter. My grand daughter will have fun choosing one for Halloween.
This is one of my pepper plants. This is the yellow bell pepper. There's another darker green pepper near the top. There's lots of flowers too.
This is my basil plant next to the cherry tomato plant. The basil plant is over two feet tall. I expect the cherry tomato plant to be at least four feet high. I just thought I'd share.
